roofing and insulation contractors

I live in eastern North Carolina and was adversely affected by hurricane Florence in September of 2018. Long story short, I began working with RIC contractors, based out of Suwanee GA, who were in the area. I decided to have them repair my house through a verbal agreement. Fast forward a month, after my insurance agency had sent out the field adjuster to my house and have it inspected, RIC contractors contacted me and notified me that I had to pay them $4500 so that they "could get the process started and so that they could purchase supplies to begin work". Me, not having gone through a situation like this before, paid the amount by check which was cashed out in less than a week. FOUR MONTHS LATER the first work was "attempted" on my house. They cashed my check out in a week but couldn't start work for four months? Regardless I gave them the benefit of the doubt when they did start work. However, the work completed was absolutely abysmal. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Each picture was taken 2 days after they showed up. I had expected them to return and clean their mess up, but I realized that was never coming. Trash was thrown all around my front yard, and I had to clean it up de to pressure from my HOA. All in all, I received terrible work (also unfinished work!) for amount that I paid, and would never suggest using this company. Save your time and money, do not work with RIC.
