We started with routine mowing/edging and they often over-billed and a couple of times didn't show up as scheduled, but we had just started service and dismissed it as a rough start. We also hired them to do a large project to clear some brush, but they didn't show up, then rescheduled, then part of the group didn't show up, and so on. It took three days to complete what was supposed to be done in one day, ate up a lot of our time with scheduling and re-scheduling with them, and messed up our work schedules. Following this, they mis-billed, and after contacting them multiple times to get it corrected, we still never received a corrected bill until I called and talked to a manager who adjusted the amount, took my payment over the phone (months ago) and assured me there would be no further issues. Today I just found an $8 item on my credit report from them sent to their collections company, and this was an adjustment amount. Why after months would they send something for $8 when they could pick up the phone and call? They were paid back in October 2016 when I made my final phone call. I also want to add further detail. This company tore up part of my lawn with the large tires on their mower which they drive too quickly in their rush to get done. I talked to one of the workers and they said they're over-booked, rushed, stressed, and one man, a military vet with back issues, is put on some of the hardest jobs because he gets them done, in spite of multiple incidents with his back when he asked for an opportunity to do more supervisory work for his health. He eventually moved to a different company.

"We are very sorry that the homeowner was disappointed with our work. On the cleanup job in question, we arrived on the appointed day. The price of the job was considerably underquoted, but we honored our commitment and finished the job at a much longer time interval than was originally expected. We honored the quoted price and the job was completed on May 10, 2016. After many statements, we had to enlist the help of a collection agency to encourage the homeowner to remit payment for the services. Payment was received on October 20th, 2016. We acted in good faith to complete the job. As a courtesy, we performed services which were not included in the original quote and consider the matter closed."

I decided to try Magnolia after reading their reviews on Angie's List. Though the people are very nice, accommodating and supportive, the results were not. Lawn looked no better, and actually worse after applications. Even after coming back, results were the same. I have since switched to another lawn service and the results, after just one application, are amazing. I'm pretty easy to please and don't have unrealistic expectations, but when weeds are still out of control after multiple attempts, something is wrong.

They came out to do an estimate and then after we agreed on a price I scheduled them. They told me they would be out the following Wednesday. Once I got home on Wednesday I instantly realized they had not come out to mow the lawn. I called them the following morning to see what happened. They just told me that they couldn't come out because they were backed up. They would be out by at least Friday. I was really upset by this because we had agreed on a date and no one even bothered to contact me to let me know. Finally they came out that Friday and did a horrible job. The lawn was still long and there were patches and parts where the grass was not cut at all just folded over! I called them and asked what had happened. I spoke to the man who came out to cut it and he told me that he had cut a foot off the lawn and that it was fine. My grass was obviously not even a few inches shorter, let alone a foot! He then told me the grass was too hard to cut because it was still wet from the rain the day before. I again stated I should have been contacted if they could not perform the job properly. He said they could come out again if I wanted. I asked them to come out again to fix it but I was not going to pay extra for it. He agreed. They came the following week and it was not any better. When I called to speak to the man again, I was just given a run around and was told they would put in a service request. They came out and only edged the lawn, they didn't mow anything!!! I was thoroughly disappointed with them.
I had another company come out last week and they got the grass short with the first pass of the mower and it had just rained the night before! Obviously Magnolia did not know what they were doing. I won't be calling them again.

Jorge and Zach arrived on time and checked in with me for final instructions before they began. They cleaned all of the debris (dead leaves, branchs, etc) out of the lawn, cut and edged the grass, spread mulch and pinestraw to increase a bed in the front yard. The yard looks fantastic! I will be using Magnolia for a few other jobs I have planned, as well as weekly maintenance. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I liked the salesperson and the technician that serviced my lawn, they were polite and professional. Over the course of a year, there were 7 scheduled applications. I called them out about twice to come back because the weeds did not appear to be going away. They came out and sprayed a couple times unscheduled on their own as well. There was a little improvement, but I was expecting more progress over a year. Just after the last freeze, as soon as the first plants started to bloom, my yard was immediately covered with the weeds. I thought they were supposed to spray pre-emergent to protect against this. I had them come out and re-spray and it seemed to do nothing. About a week later I got a letter from my homeowners association requesting that I "Please take action to remove and control the weeds in your lawn" and requiring me to submit documentation to them and go through a bunch of hoops. I did not think this would be the outcome a year later. I called Magnolia and cancelled future service and they just said "OK, thanks". I had much higher expectations.

Agreement was for lawn service to cut grass, blow leaves AND weed and maintain flower beds. There were two plans and the more expensive plan($94 per service) was specifically chosen for the flower and plant bed maintenance. We even agreed on an additional plan for Magnolia to maintain the plants themselves (8 times a year.)
The 2 man crew cut the grass and blew some of the leaves in a pile at the back of the property. The rest were left alone. To my knowledge no leaves were blown out of the plant beds and no weeding was done. When they presented me with the bill, I pointed out that the service Adam and I agreed upon was not done at which point they went back, blew a few more leaves around the yard and left.
I called the next day to cancel both services, When I was asked if I wanted a call back from Adam to discuss, I responded only if he would or could justify charging me for the services we agreed upon but were not performed. I never received a response, so I assume he had no answer. Since the property looked the same or even worse than before they came out, I hired another lawn service to do what I was led to believe Magnolia would do in the first place.
I am completely disappointed in this company, which i selected solely on the basis of reviews on Angie's List, and I feel that the $94 I am sending them is a complete waste of money.
