Ben-Son Glass & Mirror

I called Ben-Son Glass to have a custom glass shelf made and they quoted me a price of $22 and said it would be ready at 3:00 that day.  I said great I would be out to get it later.  I left my house and proceeded to get lost.  I was in the vicinity and called their what I presumed was their office number.  A gentleman answered and I told him that I was trying to find their business and could he give me directions from where I was.  It was 3:15 and he said I don't think anyone is there now, but he was on his way and would be there in 20 minutes.  I told him that I was told it would be ready at 3:00 and no one had indicated that they would not be there.  He tried to direct me but it took much longer to get there than I had hoped and I arrived at 4:00.  No one was there.  The hours are clearly listed on the door that they are open until 5:00.  Another customer drove up and was disappointed no was there.  I drove over an hour to get there and was not very happy. I tried several times to reach the man I spoke to earlier and left messages but he would not return my call.  I then called the "after hours, emergancy" number and spoke to someone who said he was not close by and couldn't help me.  I said I really needed the shelf by the following weekend and could they help me out by dropping the shelf off by my house due to the trouble that they put me through.  He said no; that no one could do that even though they have 3 different locations and my house lies between 2 of them.  Surely, workers drive back and forth, but he said nope, they did not and that FedEx or UPS would not ship glass.  No one ever returned my call or even apologized for the inconvenience. Very poor customer service and what a waste of my time and gas, especially at $3.65 a gallon.I happened to get an excellant recommendation for another custom glass provider, Diamond Glass and their price was $4 cheaper than Ben-Son.
