Al's Repairs

After getting Al's quote I called two other companies out to give me quotes. Both companies said that they NEVER use the "Stop Leak" additives because they can clog the system causing it to freeze. Essentially gumming up the inside of the condenser coils and trashing your system. Al's quote was for a sub-standard outside unit and flushing out the coil. After researching online and visiting an A/C manufacturer's office I realized that flusihing the system would not guarantee that all of the stop leak was removed and could ruin the new system. I chose a vendor that offered a quote with a much nicer outside unit and replacing the coil for $300 more than Al. I have tried to contact Al via phone, text(his preferred method), email and certified mail. I have not heard from him again. I have since corresponded with the manufacturer of the "Stop Leak" who has provided documentation demonstrating that Al installed their product incorrectly. I have also found that Al is not licensed in the state of Georgia for A/C repair.
Do not call AL's repairs for any kind of repairs. We had also had Al clean out our Dryer vent. You guessed it, he did a sub-standard job there as well. I was in the attic when the company we hired pulled the pipe apart and it was caked in lint which clearly showed Al failed to perform that work properly as well.
Call Al's Repairs at your own risk and don't say you weren't warned.
