What a nice guy!!! But he did not have equipment or experience that I needed to support our event. My evaluation.
When we met to book the event, Earl demonstrated professionalism and therefore I assumed that he had good knowledge of how to meet the needs of his customers. As it turns out, he seemed a bit short on experience compared to other A/V companies I have used over the past 20 years. That is my opinion based on this one event.
When I arrived at my event site, I saw that he timely installed the equipment. However, the sound equipment was an old
time, combo amplifier and speaker. He had this sound system sitting on the floor, and not mounted high to project good sound quality. The amplifier made a very loud humming sound when the music was not being played. Defective unit I think. Speaker systems should be mounted high to fill the room, and of course, they should not hum.
While I don't have issue with the fact that I was one of two jobs that night, I will always wonder if he used his first line equipment on the other job, and I got second rate equipment. He is the only one that will ever know that.
In the world of A/V presentations, you only get one shot to make a good first impression.
Cannot recommend.
