Repairs on a small section were made, but a patch with rough edges was left unpainted for months and finally finished after repeated calls from us. The patch needed to be scored horizontally, which appears to have been done by hand rather than using proper equipment, because the scoring is thin and wavy rather than deep and straight.
In late July we asked that the proprietor, Rick LaVigne, come up to inspect the wall separation to discuss what might be done. We provided details and photos, and followed-up by phone multiple times. Mr. LaVigne made assurances for weeks that he would come but no action had been taken by September 11 and he did not respond to an email sent on August 31. So we must conclude that Blue Lake Group does not do stucco work properly and does not stand behind its work.
These guys were so nice and professional. If anything came up they were able to communicate easily with me or my husband and resolve issues quickly. I know I had this service a few years back, but these guys are great, they are in my area often and see them from time to time and had to let you how great they are.
I went ahead and paid the remaining portion, but also reminded the company that they had not provided the invoice as they were contractually required to do. They did provide one via email marked as paid after I provided them the payment info - they did "waive" the processing fee.
Never received an adequate apology for taking so long to complete the work.
Work, once completed, was good but the hassle to get it completed would not permit a recommendation to hire them. I also dislike the strong-arm action regarding payment especially in view that they failed to follow their own contractual requirements.
"This job was done and completed in April of 2013. This is Mr. (member name removed)’s second complaint and again not even a valid issue. We did do plumbing work under his sink in his kitchen when we installed the cabinets. The reason we had to do plumbing was because before we ever were contracted there were leaks that caused the rotten wood/cabinet problems, which is one of the reasons for the cabinet replacements. We fixed the plumbing under the sink with the same configurations that were originally there. We have not received any complaints from him in regards to this issue, EVER, before now. We did exceptional work and communicated with him the entire time. We have a signed completion form stating that "all work performed and materials supplies by (The Blue Lake Group) has been completed to my satisfaction", this was signed by Mr. (member name removed) on April 27th, 2013. (see attached) We have never been presented any information referencing this work was done incorrectly. We did the plumbing work the way the customer requested to fit within his budget. All of this was made apparent at the time the work was complete."
