Jun 2013
I contacted this company (apparently just an owner, no employees) in March for an estimate to grade and sod part of my backyard. After carefully (but not carefully enough) considering all my bids, I hired him, even though the quote was higher than average and he could not begin work for a month. I was led to believe the quality would be the best, so I put up with the long start delay and enormous 2/3rds down payment request (yes, TWO THIRDS payment up front).
The start date came. No work. Excuses began. It might rain, utilities were not marked yet, etc.
Finally, two weeks later, a full day of grading work was performed on Monday. Then half a day on Tuesday. After that, nothing the rest of the week. The weather was fine. When I called and could get through, I got excuses about more delays.
The next week, finally showed up again on Tuesday, mid-afternoon. Worked a few hours. More excuses about delays. Did not show up the rest of the week. Again, the weather was fine. On Saturday of this week, due to incompetence on his part, and having zero confidence in his ability to finish performing the work, and definitely not to finish in a timely fashion (already a MONTH in and nowhere close to completion), I fired him.
So in summary, the project was quoted high, was very delayed, went very slowly, and due to claimed technical difficulties (not the least of which is he hired NO help), I was left with half-done grading and a huge bill. After figuring material expenses, labor charges were higher than most senior engineers' wages.
The next week, I had a professional come out and finish grading in ONE DAY. Then sod installed a few days later.
Avoid.

Response from Integrity Landscape Management
"First of all, the review stated by [member name removed] is exaggerated. For us to warrant our work (yes, with a WRITTEN warranty), conditions must be conducive so as to not incur problems later in time. [member name removed] property was properly marked, rough graded, and rototilled per our contract agreement. All that remained was a smooth hand-grade and the installation of the sod. The only caveat was that there was a high amount of debris that the rototiller had unearthed (ranging from power lines to concrete chunks the size of basketballs). The time required to remove this debris was the straw that broke the camel's back. I can not warrant sod to look superb if installed on garbage. [member name removed] instructed us to leave, would not consider us completing the task (despite us wanting to), and received a refund from us for the remaining portion of services/materials not rendered. Fast forward to today. We have dozens of references available that cite exceptional work performed by us. We do not cut corners. Instead we aim to provide superior results at a fair price. All plant materials are warranted for a full year, and all hardscaping comes with a written, fully-transferable lifetime guarantee (excluding wood materials). If you want a project done in the shortest possible time, one needs to hire a large construction crew. If you want an outdoor living space performed by a company that views landscaping as a skilled craft, and pays attention to every architectural detail--we're who you want to call. For a free quote, please call: (770) 624-9003."
