I have had two experiences with Mr. Brown, one for plumbing and one for electrical, and both have been very negative. I would not have used him again after the first experience except that I did not recognize his name the second time.
In both instances, Mr. Brown was asked to perform a simple task (change a toilet filler valve in the plumbing job, and repair two
doorbells in the electrical job). In both instances, he charged an exorbitant rate -- over $120 each -- for parts and labor. The parts probably cost less than $10 in each case, and his labor was no more than an hour.
In the electrical job, Mr. Brown created a problem that did not exist before his work, and then refused to stay and complete the job
properly. He said that the problem might be resolved if he went into my attic, but he was adamant about not going there during the hot summer months, despite the fact that I told him I had had another worker clean the attic thoroughly in the heat just three days previously. He left my house without resolving the problem and did not take any amount off the bill.
In short, Mr. Brown's charges are excessive, his work is not satisfactory, and he is obviously not honorable enough to stand by the quality of his work. I would never recommend him to anyone and will certainly never use his services again.

He did come as he stated, BUT he charged me $280.00 dollars for 20 minutes of work. When I asked for a receipt with details on
it he gave me a reciept with just the total of $280.00 on it and thats all. No other explaination for the outrages charge. I guess if
you want to throw money away call this man. I never will again1

Mr. Brown arrived at the appointed time and got right to work on replacing the ceiling fan. His assembly of the replacement fan was excellent. The fan has worked very well since he installed it. After completing the fan assembly and installation, he got replacements for the broken fawcett covers for the bathroom sink and replaced them. All of the work went well. It was done quickly and all parts of both jobs have worked well since installation.
Mr. Brown has performed a variety of plumbing and electrical work for us since the 1970's. His work has always been efficient and excellent. We have not worked with other plumbers or electricians since Mr. Brown began working for us in the mid-1970's.

He gave me a quote and it actually cost less than the quote. He showed up right when he said he would show up. He did the job to my satisfaction.

I am very impressed with him. He comes and gets the job done right away and he charges a fair price for his work. The job is always done right the first time he comes.
