Gene Knight Painting L.L.C

Gene Knight was paid in full in January 2020. I started sending him emails on February 3, 2020 about the paint lifting and peeling. We paid him $5800 and then he said he hadn't realized how much rotten wood there was at first estimate and that he would need $2100 more and we paid him. $7900 just to paint the back of our building. After multiple emails, texts, phone calls, and promises from him that he would take care of it because "(he) is a man of my word" we have hired an attorney and we are suing him. He is aware of this via emails and registered letter and still has made no attempt to remedy the issues or to contact us or the attorney. He even tried to tell me that the paint was lifting because the house had leaks. What??!! Man, that would have been a lot of leaks!!! Then he said he realized that the issue was that the new wood still had sap in it and the summer heat would take care of it but he would be back in September to check how it looked. I have pictures which I took all through the summer and which I sent to him, citing the fact that the paint was NOT lifting on the new wood. It's January 2021 and we are suing him. We have a contract that covers his work for 4 years. Unbelievable level of un-professionalism. Run, don't walk away from this guy! I have attached 2 of many, many pictures below.
