We began when Ralph Smith entered the industry in 1952 and almost 60 years later Smith Bailey and Associates continues to have a excellent reputation in the disaster recovery and insurance restoration business. Rob Bailey, the owner of Cornerstone Construction, was primarily a commercial construction and large residential remodeler when he purchased the Ralph Smith Company in 1992 to create Smith, Bailey and Associates. The merger increased the company’s reach and scope, allowing Smith Bailey and Associates to draw on the combined resources of its facilities and personnel. Rob McClure bought the company in early 2008 after working for Mr. Bailey as General Manager for several years. Rob came to Smith Bailey and Associates from a luxury high-rise condo developer with more than 1200 units and over six years of project management under his belt. He helped coordinate high-rise projects in Denver, Orlando, Houston and here in Atlanta. Rob has a keen eye for detail and is committed to customer service. His experience as General Manager here at Smith Bailey and his commitment to excellence made for a great fit to take over the reigns at the head of the company. Today Smith, Bailey and Associates excels in every aspect of the construction process. No matter where you find yourself in the spectrum, Smith Bailey and Associates is there to help complete your project on time and within budget. We will work with the insurance company to make sure that the customer is made whole again as soon as possible. We facilitate in every aspect of an insured loss and will coordinate all trades to make sure that the customer is taken care of from beginning to end. Subsequently we were able to get Rob McClure engaged directly to manage the construction and things got substantially better as Rob stayed engaged with us and his sub-contractors. Thanks to Rob, the shoddy work was re-done correctly and Rob was responsive to get things done right for us, albeit, after a long period of difficulty.
I believe that if Rob had managed this project from the beginning I would be giving an "A" or "B" rating to them for this work, but given the long period of difficulty and the initial work done, I feel that a "C" rating is fair and accurate.
