Steve was the forth AC company I had to come out to my house. I was at my wits end.
I had three different prices and stories on what was wrong. Each time you call someone out they charge you a service fee so it gets expensive to get second opinioins. A neighbor reccomended Steve and told me he had done work there and was very honest.
Company 1, told me my AC was completely out of Freon and that the unit was shot and it would cost me $3200. I told him I would get a second opinion and he jiggled a wire, the unit came back on so he proceeded to want $480 for the freon. i told him to take a hike. Don't be jiggling wires on me...
Company 2 - told me that I had a leak in my Line set, and to increase air flow I needed more duct work $2700 and no new equipment
Company 3 - came out and said all I needed was freon. the charge was $550. Two days later, no cold air.
I called him back and he then said the unit now was indeed shot. Now replacement of entire system was at hand. He carried only low end units.
After all this i wasn't sure what was wrong. The system worked then it didn't, the system leaked then it didn't.
Finally, got Steve out there. He did show that indeed the unit now was broken. He got me a great deal on a 4Ton Trane, confirmed there was no leak in my lines and got me up and running in a few hours. His rates were very competitive with the best equipment in the busines.
The best part about Steve is that he quickly got to the problem and expained everything in detail that made sense. I wish I had called him first. He does quality work and I am satisfied.

He asked me how the last service call was because he had an assistant come out. I told him there was just a couple of little things that weren't right and he was so upset to hear that he didn't charge us for the this visit. I was very impressed with him. He was excellent.
