I use Great Expressions for dental care. They did what they were supposed to do and did a good job. I would recommend them. The staff was friendly.

The dentist and the staffs are knowledgeable. They did not try to tell me that I needed more than I did. They actually that day didn't even charge me. I'm very pleased with them. They are as good as any dentist.

Don't use them for anything. I wouldn't recommend them. The management there is not the greatest. I'm leaving. Me and my family are leaving. My daughter is going to leave as soon as she is finished with her braces. It is awful. You call them and you tell them something, they keep calling you saying, "You have an appointment scheduled for this." It seems like they're just trying to gouge money out of you for something. We're not going to use them again. We're leaving. I've departed, my wife has departed as well too. They're awful. I wouldn't recommend anybody to go there. They don't have their act together, their billing is not correct, as far as getting you in there, getting appointments [unclear 20:59] There is just a number of things. You go in there, you change your insurance information, you give them all the information that they ask for, then you come in there and they say, "Well, Mr. Thompson we don't have your insurance information." Yeah, you do because I was standing right there when I did all the paperwork, filled out the form, gave you the group code number, the whole nine yards. Now you come, "I don't have this." Now, I've got to go through this again with you. I don't have time for that. I won't go back.

We have been going to this particular location for probably about a year. She is very nice and down-to-earth. The staff are also very helpful and kind.

I had started getting more frequent cleanings due to calculus build up on my lower anterior lingual surfaces because of a permanently bonded retainer. So this was a cleaning 4 months after my previous cleaning instead of the usual 6 months most people receive. At that previous cleaning I was given fluoride to use at home, but was not told of any serious problems. At my most recent appointment I cannot recall seeing anyone in the office I had seen before other than the front office staff. After having bitewing X-rays taken of all my teeth I was told that I had some bone loss due to periodontal disease! Furthermore, the hygienist told me that the previous time I was there I had been misdiagnosed by them!!! What the h*** !?! In order for bone loss to appear on an X-ray this must have been taking place for a prolonged period of time!! This is similar to seeing a carie (cavity) on an X-ray; by the time it shows up on an X-ray it has been there for quite some time. This is why your dentist uses a pick to look for soft areas where enamel should be h****** your tooth. If it is soft, it is likely a carie.
When I spoke to the Regional Manager who happened to be in this office that day she asked me how I was doing. Of course, I told her of this "little" problem and that I would never go there again. If you cannot get reliable, quality dental treatment from your dental professionals what is the point of employing them? I am considering consulting an attorney to sue them for malpractice. This should give you an idea of how badly this went!
I would urge anyone reading this to stay away from Great Expressions altogether. Previous to this episode I have seen this office go through several dentists. It seems to indicate that the corporate environment these providers are working in is not appealing, or else they would remain there. They even went so far as to fire at least one dentist who received numerous complaints (according to what my previous, regular, competent hygienist told me). Previous to Great Expressions buying out this office it was known as Nanston Dental. At that time I had a competent dentist Dr. Kimberly Williams who I felt was knowledgeable and competent. I would not let Great Expressions clean my dogs teeth now!
I can not reiterate this more clearly stay away from Great Expressions.
Update 3/14/2014: At my 1st visit at another dentist I was told that I did NOT have any periodontal disease. However, a Panorex did reveal a radiolucent lesion behind tooth #18 that was never discovered by Great Expressions. This required oral surgery on 1/27/2014 for removal of an odontogenic keratocyst. To reiterate, Great Expressions never took a Panorex in the several years that I was a patient under their care. They told me I had a condition that I did not have (periodontal disease), and completely missed a lesion I did have! I have filed a complaint with the Georgia Board of Dentistry implicating the specific dentists that "treated" me at Great Expressions and have made them aware that other patients have posted online reviews with similar experiences that I have had. So if you take away nothing else from this review stay away from Great Expressions.

I like the Doctor there very much he is efficient, competent, caring and has got good competent hands at work, and I like him. I am going to see him again today they are good . There are the ladies who are really really nice. I like the dentist and the technicians that work with him, they are really good, friendly and I am very pleased. I have dental insurance policy and they were on it, and they said pick your dentist and they were close to my home and so I chose them, but I like them. I don't like going to the dentist but I like these people and they are caring and efficient. I would recommend them to others.

I went to get a tooth fixed. They took all kinds of xrays, but I never got th tooth fixed on that visit. They could have fixed it that day but I had already been there for an hour and a half and needed to get to work. I have to go back another time to get the tooth fixed
