I've been going since 1975 to Smyrna Animal Hospital. They have very good vets.

They're flexible with their hours. They're very helpful. The doctor has a very good bedside manner. When I needed information, he would print it out for me. He gave me information about vaccinations and how they affect cancer. They're informative and helpful.

They were unbelievable. They were very quick to get me in so my dog could get seen, and very reassuring as they looked at her and got her ready. The office staff is so sweet, and extremely helpful. Dr Cleveland, the vet that saw her, has probably the best bedside manner I could ever find in a vet. He explained in detail what he was going to do with her, and how it would affect her. I dropped her off the next day for her surgery before I went to work. Dr Cleveland called me right before her surgery to let me know that she was under anesthesia and doing well, and that he would call me later to let me know how she was doing. True to his word, he called three hours later to let me know that she was awake and doing just fine, but he would like to board her overnight. The next morning he called to let me know how she had weathered the night and that she was ready to be picked up! I was so grateful for all that they did to help her, they are now my full time vet, and I won't let my animals see anyone but them. We've been through one more emergency surgery and other medical issues with my pets, but every single time the entire office and staff have been so helpful and understanding. The pricing is unbelievable considering what other vets charge, and they do the same, if not better, quality of work. I refuse to use anyone else.

We choose this vet because they are close to our home and our cat would not have to be in the car for very long. While we were kept waiting after our appointment time; it was understandable as there was an emergency that had come in the door after we had arrived. The vet, Dr. Cleveland, was very attentive, listening to us and asking questions about the previous history of our cat, who has hyperthyrodism and has to take medication twice a day. It was a little disconcerting to have the vet take our cat into another area to weigh him and draw blood for tests; our previous vet would do this while we were in the room; but he was fine. The cost of medicine was less than we were used to paying and the visit itself was well within the range that we are used to paying. It was a good initial visit and we will continue to use this vet.

The medications are the same price as Pet Meds. They match Pet Meds in price. They are really responsive to the questions we have. One of our cats has an issue on one of their paws, and they have never seen that case. They went and did some research. They came back with the answers. I thought that was great. We would never change them.

I've been going to Smyrna Animal Hospital for some years now. I have always found the service and treatment to be more than satisfactory. The price is a little high in my opinion, but a great all around service. I would highly recommend them to others in our area.
