Ed’s MB Medics is a family owned and operated, independent automotive repair shop that provides excellent service for you and your car. Having spent 8 years as a line tech at RBM of Atlanta, Ed Wellham envisioned providing customized service and care for clients in an inviting atmosphere. In March of 1976, he started a small repair shop with big dreams. Over 30 years and a few expansions later, the dedicated technicians strive to provide the same top notch service at an economical price. To this day, Ed’s MB Medics has become synonymous with integrity, quality and exceptional customer service. As I said, I took my Mercedes SLK 350 for the engine light. My car was was not running smoothly at all. After I dropped it, The owner, Ed himself called and said that the problem was faulty thermostat. He also said couple of other things needed to be fixed but no rush for those. He has gained my trust and he is going to be my mechanic for both of my Mercedes Benz cars going forward.

Ed's team is extremely professional and down to earth. I have an older vehicle with 215K miles on it, and they keep it running without entertaining fixing everything they possibly could on it. I trust their judgment - if they say fix it, I fix it. When I bring up items I'd like to fix, they let me know if it's worth it or not. Would not take my car to any other shop.

I use them because my car is now out of warranty and they have much better prices. I have used them for 25 years. What stands out the most about their work is their honesty. The workers are excellent. I always deal with the owner because I know him and I worked with his sister, who is the receptionist there, 100 years ago.

I took my car to a Mercedes Benz private mechanic in Texas. Ed (of Ed's MB Medics) had already told me what it was but the mechanic in Texas said it was something else. They tried to fix the problem for $1200 but it didn't work. I paid them another $800 but they were still unable to fix the problem. I then drove my car from Texas back to Georgia just so that Ed could get it right. He fixed it for $800 dollars---exactly what he had quoted me a year before and I've never had a problem since. He's a wonderful and honest mechanic.

Ed researched MB service advice and found that the transfer case (4matic) may need a fluid flush and replacement. I was advised that there was only a 50% possibility of this solving my problem and the next step would be to replace the transfer case. Thankfully the fluid replacement worked well. This issue has been slowing escalating for six months and the car had been serviced by a MB certified tech and had an alignment completed by the MB dealer. Ed's MB Medics was the only one to offer the fluid change as a possible solution.
Engine motor mounts were also replaced and is more than 50% of the cost of the service,
The car is a 2006 E350 4Matic with over 215,000 miles and it rides like new again.

They reviewed the car rather thoroughly, however they missed a few areas that were detailed in the CARFAX report. Once I noted the omissions, they reviewed those areas and provided comments.
