Dogma is an excellent provider of boarding and daycare services for my dog. They all know Golda by name and enthusiastically welcome her when she comes in each day. They give me regular feedback about Golda's behavior and how her socialization with other canines are going. They care deeply about my puppy. Because she was so young and small, they kept her up front for a while and she made made friends with other resident canines. They even took pictures of Golda playing and cuddling with other dogs and texted them to me. I love Dogma. I find they are extraordinarily friendly and accommodating.

When I picked them up the girl found the bag I had put everything in and pulled out a collar and leash that was not even mine and I noticed 3 of the 4 cans of dog food and some of their dry were in the bag. When I asked her about why there was food remaining she advised that she couldn't answer because the responsible person was not there but she would leave a message for them to call me. I asked about Sky's bed and she asked what it looked like. Wouldn't her bed be the only one in a private condo.? When she brought it out it was wet and had dog feces on the bottom and sides plus dirt. It was so disgusting I told her to throw it away. When I got home they both drank water as though they had none for at least a day! They meds were not in the bag and there were 2 days worth of dry & canned in the bag. The next day I called and went to get their meds and discussed in detail about how my animals had been treated and the hair cut. No one knew anything. The next day a man calls stating he was the manager and apologized over and over telling me they lost my feeding instructions and fed them their food (I guess they couldn't bother to call me for instructions and didn't even feed them the canned/dry I supplied, Right... He said he would investigate and that I would receive at least the cost of the bath/hair cut because he could see my written instruction about not shaving. I thought they had lost my instruction sheet which had feeding and hair cut instructions both. Needless to say, never heard one word back and never a credit for even the haircut.

The one day visit was ok except one dog came back with a bleeding, torn claw. That could happen any place that dogs are playing together. During the week-long stay, the dogs were to have a bath prior to us picking them up. We arrived (an hour later than we'd scheduled) and two of the three dogs were still sopping wet. Two of our 3 dogs have prescription diets and can eat nothing other than what we packed for them. We suspect these directions were not followed as both of those dogs required costly vet visits after their stays. One of them was so dehydrated that she required subcutaneous fluids.

The amount of time the dogs spend out in the play yard (10-12hrs) on hot summer weather was excessive for our dogs who are used to being in A/C most of the day and only going outside for short play/potty periods. Some dogs may do fine in this environment but ours did not. We didn't notify Dogma of our concerns because, honestly, we didn't think much would come of it. What we experienced seems to be their normal care routine. They're a big facility and have a very high caregiver to dog ratio. The yard attendant we saw on the online camera rarely interacted with, or showed affection to, any of the dogs...just stood there observing. They may not be horrible kennel but they certainly weren't a good fit for us or our dogs.
