I paid $600 to have bait stations installed. It was an extra $200 a year for monitoring.
Although the contract stated a $200 fee for monitoring, I was not aware that applied to the first year, and the Salesman never mentioned it. That was explained when I called after receiving the first bill. Since I signed the contract, I took responsibility and paid on time every quarter.
**Pests
I specifically stated I needed cockroach treatment, and the salesman said that would be covered by a twice a year spraying.
It did not work. I asked once for a re-treatment, which also did not work.
**Now, I use $10 bait stations from Home Depot, which work very well.**
At the end of the contract year, I decided not to renew, and I wrote that in the notes section of the bill, where it states comments.
I later called the office to be sure it was processed and the lady at the desk said no. When I asked why, she became frazzled and said Mr Barnes does that. I asked to speak to him and he returned my call.
Mr Barnes said a twice-yearly treatment will never kill cockroaches, I needed monthly.
I advised him that his salesman told me it would be controlled by the twice yearly treatment, and monthly was too much for me.
I cancelled since the salesman was misrepresentative in both instances.
I refuse to do further business under these conditions, even if the price is better.
Mr Barnes assured me that the bait stations would be filled-in after they were removed from the ground at my house.
They were not. I was left with empty holes which I filled-in myself.
They are a very good company. They are honest and they don’t try to rip you off. I have been using them for years. There was a termite problem in another house that I lived. I had other companies come out and quote me enormous prices. They are hard working people. The same people have been there for over 10 years.
