Aqua Vision Inc.

This company is under new ownership and changed hands subsequent to my 5* review posted here. The new owner is generally unresponsive to service requests/complaints and maintenance visits tend to be haphazard and shoddy. I do not recommend this firm. Please don't be swayed by the strong ratings. As a previous reviewer notes, those ratings reflect service under the original owner.

First, please note the present reviews are at least 4 years old. Allow me to update. Anyone trying to do business with company is a fool. They never answer the phone. They never return calls. I had a repair set up for today, they never showed, never called, or returned a voicemail. I have no idea how they stay in business. In my opinion, whomever answers the voicemails is on drugs. Exact symptoms. Again, NEVER ATTEMPT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!! ABSOLUTELY INCOMPETENT!

Excellent service and attention to detail at the outset has improved over time to simply magnificent. Their service reps are thoroughly commitment to a high quality outcome -- clearly taking pride in their work. Based upon a limited amount of up front research, it's my impression that Aquavision is not bargain priced. You can likely find someone cheaper. However, we were with a less expensive firm for two years, and were frequently frustrated with shoddy cleaning and a hesitancy to promptly address problems as they cropped up. Aquavision has truly been heaven sent. We now relax, knowing that our pool will be in tiptop shape when we're ready to use it, and that someone is keeping a caring eye on it's continued functioning.

Our previous pool company told us they were only servicing year round pools. We were squeezed for time since we had 2 separate end of school parties and the pool was still covered. Aqua Vision was extremely quick to respond and found a way to work us into their calendar. They not only came out quickly but returned twice before the parties to make sure the pool was ready to go. They went above and beyond and couldn't have been more responsive.

These guys are absolute pros. Bob Cook returned all my calls promptly and met me when he said he would be there for the estimate. His office staff is excellent as well. His tile sub showed up at 8am, did the job, cleaned up and were gone by 4pm the same day. They saw cut under the tiles so the Pebbletec finish would not be damaged when they chiseled out the old tiles. Because the new tiles were thicker than the old ones, they ground out the gunite so the tile would be flush with the finish surface. The tile is beautiful again, and I watched his guys as they installed the new tile. They carefully dug out the cracks in the pool wall behind the old tile and filled the damaged areas with mortar before installing the new tiles. All in all, an excellent job.

We contacted many pool vendors after returning home from a vacation to find most of our electrical equipment destroyed by a lightning strike.  Our pool automation system was destroyed and our pool pump would not turn on.  The pool was quickly turning green.  Each vendor we called (from Angie's List) told us it would 7 to 10 days before they could even come by and inspect the damage with no attempt to help us out. However, when we called Aqua Vision, they offered to swing by early in the morning (before their daily schedule started) to at least inspect the system and get the pool pump running by bypassing the automation system.  
Bob Cook honored his offer and assisted that very morning.  He was able to quickly determine the control board of the automation system was ruined.  He direct wired the pool pump to the circuit breaker and tested it to confirm it was not damaged.  The very next day, I was given a quote to provide to my insurance company for replacing the automation system.
Once the details with the insurance company were worked out, Aqua Vision sent out their automation/electrician specialist, Mark. Mark made the repairs as well as took the time to make sure we were trained on the pool automations operation.  After a return visit to trade out some used equipment and test the GFI, our pool was like new again.
So many times these days, it seems service providers are looking to squeeze out every dime from their customers rather than focus on quality, value, and excellent customer care.  Not Aqua Vision.  We were not a routine customer and they could have easily given me the response their competitors did.  But they chose to help us.  Thanks to Mark, Jason, and Bob's excellent work, I WILL call them for all my future pool needs!

I paid my Angie's list fee to find this pool contractor.  Now I have paid again to allow me to come here and express my disappointment.
In the initial and subsequent contacts, I told the representative that I wanted the liner replaced and the light fixed.  In every conversation I reiterated that fixing the light was part of what I was paying for.
The liner replacement was done by a sub contractor named Kent.  He did a good job.  When he was finishing, I asked about the light fixed.  He stated that this was news to him, that no mention had been made of that.
Then, the Aquavision person who did the initial estimate came out and replaced the bulb.  It seemed fine.  But, starting that night, and everytime the light has been used in the year since, the light blinks off and on.  Several minutes on, several minutes off.  It has never worked right.
I called Aquavision repeatedly, and a tech came out.  First, when the light came on (as always), he dismissed the entire issue and started packing up.  Then when the light went out (as always), he said that a new fixture was required.  $600. 
Subsequent conversations with Aquavision always came back to their statement that they'd only agreed to replace the bulb. 
My position is that I have no desire to have any additional work done by their people.

Weekly pool cleaning and maintenance

Closed pool.  Have used this company for 2 yrs, since moving to GA. They have done many things to update this pool, which had not been maintained very well with another pool company. All services with AquaVision have been done timely, efficiently and at a reasonable cost.  Their costs may not always be the cheapest but you get what you pay for.......we learned that lesson.

They did a good job. The owner provided good service and helped us pick out the materials. We had no problems at all.

Fantastic. They provided an initial clean-up job (1-2 hours worth of work), followed by weekly maintenance service. They are always on time, dont mess around, and do a great job. Pool looks great and ready for use. Would highly recommend them.

I had a spectacular experience with Aquavision.  After years of over-priced estimates from other companies, Bob Cook provided a practical and affordable evaluation and assessment of the exact scope of work that needed to be done to restore my pool.  He made it possible for me to itemize only what was necessary and finally complete the renovation.  The Aquavision crew and team finished all of the work in less than ten days, completing every detail we agreed upon in the contract, and I am thrilled with the results.  The start up team also did great work... returning several times to answer all of my questions as they arose, which helped me through the process of understanding my new pool, giving me a comfort level about what to do.  Good people, great company.

They addressed assessed the problems, found multiple issues with our pool and then quickly and professional performed the repairs.

+Aquavision was able to come in to a botched renovation and turn it around into a pool I can be very proud of - from new coping, tile work, pebble finish and an updated deck coating.
