Yes, I recommend this pro
My overall experience with them was very satisfactory. Both of the owners were personable and consistently prompt. They hired licensed contractors for anything outside of their scope, like electrical work. I thought they handled my project quickly and efficiency. Also, they gave me a really fun final reveal similar to what you would see on a television show. I would definitely recommend them others.

The work ended up being extremely sloppy. If I had wanted a bad paint job, I would have done it my self.  The quarter round does not match the existing trim.  I am not real sure what they were thinking with the nipple light fixtures and the dry wall had to be patched 4 times before it was even tolerable.  The list of screw ups is very long.  When the quality of work was done poorly – the response from Michael varied from ‘oh well’ to ‘it was a training issue’.  No attempt was made to fix it, repair it or compensate us in any way, unless we insisted.  I am quite sure it would be a whole different outcome if it was their home and their money.
Response from 2 Gays & A Design
"The "nipple" light fixtures were chosen by the member's partner in addition to every single paint color, hardwood, quarter round and door that we assisted with. Our job was to simply help them transform their "builder grade" home into something a little more up-to-date. We constantly recommended alternatives to what they selected to the point where we had to compromise and find some common ground (i.e. light gray super-plush leather furniture, etc.). To be frank, yes, there were multiple mishaps that were out of our control. Did we fire a contractor? Yes. At the end of the day, there is no such thing as a perfect job, but we did the best we could under the situation. There was never one point in time where the member or her partner could not get in touch with us via phone, text, email, etc. There was never any lack of communication. It's not like we walked into their home, took their money and never saw them again. This was seriously one of those jobs that just had a lot of unfortunate outcomes, but to this day, we have been doing our absolute best to make the situation right. Let's not forget that the reviewer also became so unbearable during this process that she even alienated her own partner and had to leave the house because she became so intolerable to be around. Her attitude towards us was practically immature from the beginning to the point where anyone would agree that she is impossible to work with. I ask the reviewer to show proof that Michael said "oh well" and "it was a training issue"... Did we engage the wrong contractor for the job? Yes, without question. But, did we do the best we could and finish the job even if it did take "4 times" before it was "tolerable"? Yes. We truly wish the members the best as we have said multiple times, but we find this review truly distasteful and will gladly provide as many references as future clients need. What we have learned from this whole experience is that not all clients do well with designers. No one is perfect, but when you invite two skilled designers into your home at some point you have to learn to let go and trust that the job will get done and not nitpick every little detail, otherwise, it will be a painful experience for everyone. The job will get done to the best of our ability and no matter what bad experience we go through with contractors (even designers with 30+ years of experience have horror stories), we will be there until you are at least, reasonably happy."
