Bill Smith Plumbing

Bill Smith plumbing diagnosed the problem. No repair work was performed. The biggest thing to understand is that their is a $60 service charge AND $120/hour. So that first hour is going to cost $180. This, in my opinion, is absurd. I expect that the company has increased their prices due to generally good Angie's List reviews, as many recent reviews complain about the pricing. We should have paid more attention to these. Bill Smith plumbing made two trips to our site because of miscommunication with the tenants and my brother, which we take responsibility for (two trip charges). They said that they spent an hour each time at the site, though my brother indicates that the second trip was no more than 30 minutes on scene. I don't know how long the first trip was, but in my opinion the straightforward problem should not have taken more than 30 minutes total to diagnose. In any case, the $360 total bill was reduced to $300, which in my opinion and significant experience (we own about 100 units throughout the Denver metro area) is still extortionate. We will certainly not use them again. There are many fair plumbers out there who charge reasonable fees. Bill Smith is not one of them.
