This organization provided termite protection to our home since the day it was built.  They were hired by the previous owners and we continued with their services once we bought the home in 2010.  However, Yates-Astro failed to maintain the same level of termite protection on our home that was provided in previous years and did not disclose that to us willingly nor openly.  Their organization openly admitted that they changed the "termite" contract when we purchased the home and we were not aware of it.  This is their admitted common policy.  Buyers beware!  We were contacted via phone when we purchased the house and asked if we wanted to "stay" with he company and we did - we saw no reason to leave.  We were transferred to Savannah from the "north" and really unaware of termites and presumed they'd do their job as needed.  They mailed us a contract and we presumed it was the same as the previous owner's and of course - we had no reference if it wasn't.  Fast forward 4 years later when we discover that we have a devastating case of termites in our home and we are in arbitration with Yates-Astro.  We learn that the responsibility was on us 100% to have discovered that the contract was different from the previous owners and that the treatment they were providing was different than the contract provided to the previous owners.  It was completely deceitful.  And in practicality - who has time when they are moving and unpacking and starting new jobs to reach out to previous owners to determine if the termite contract is exactly the same?  It never occurred to me to ask!  I saw on the sellers disclosure that there was a lifetime warranty for termites on the home so we assumed that was indeed the case.  We were so wrong.  Our home has suffered damage to the whole back of the home that requires the demolition of the complete back of the home and rebuilding the interior and exterior walls, roof, installing windows and doors.  We couldn't easily afford to rebuild our home.  The expense to rebuild our home was not covered by our homeowners insurance and we could not arrive at an agreement with Yates-Astro.  We lost in arbitration.  The arbitrator felt that the responsibility was on us as homeowners to know what we had signed and agreed to.  Regardless of the fact that Yates had done something so shifty.  So we have sold our home for pennies on the dollar.  Please be aware of your contract and the services you are getting if you are doing business with Yates-Astro as a new customer who has just purchased a home and are taking over an existing contract.  Ask questions and be diligent.  Better yet - change termite providers!

We have been using Yates since we moved to Savannah. Our tech, Andrew is the absolute best. He always makes time in his schedule and does a fantastic job.

They were admittedly busy, so it took a couple days to schedule first inspection, and then another delay of a few days before the treatment was done. This was not a problem for us, and once services were scheduled, the people were on time, friendly, informative, and professional.

Was told for $350.00 would cover attic gables with mesh (had attic rats) and lay 6 snap traps and come back twice to check.
They never initiated contact with me through any of this process, I would always have to call to inquire when work was going to be performed. After a week I called and was informed the man who does the covering was injured. Fine, but keep a customer informed. Another week plus goes by nothing....so I went and bought materials (under $40) to do myself from inside. When I returned someone had done it in approximately 30 minutes per family members. Some must have been trapped inside as we still heard them. Called again and told him he had said he would put snap traps in and they hadn't done that as yet. This was probably almost 3 weeks from signed contracted returned. He said he would send someone out. Next day a guy showed up and put 6 glue traps in! Never came back to check on them or lay other.... They were useless. Put poison in and dealt with the smell for a week. Called when I got the bill and express this to A/R person. She said she would check into it and call me back. That was two weeks ago and no word.
Would not recommend this people, very poor customer service and very expensive for what I had done.

I contacted them through their website to get Termite Treatment for a home my Mother-in-law lives in. They called my mother-in-law three days later to set up an appointment. Then didn't show up. My mother-in-law called to see where they were and got no answer. Never heard anything from them. We have since taken our business elsewhere and hired another company.
Not sure what happened, but can't trust a company that can't show up for an initial appointment with something as important as protecting your home from termites.
I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt that there was an emergency, but no follow up call?

Their price is just about as everybody else's. They are reliable. They don't actually have to come into the house; I don't even have to be home. We haven't had any termites. With regard to punctuality, I don't even know when they come because they don't need to come in.

I am using them. They have actually two different services, there is termite treatment and the other is pest control. They have very good customer focus and are timely.

Their service is great, we use them monthly for pest control. They always call in advance to setup the appointment and are always on time. Would highly recommend!
