I cancelled my service with Waste Management in late September. The next billing cycle was in early October. I was assured several times by phone that this was all taken care of and that I would not be billed. They did come and pick up my container so I thought every thing was settled. Then a charge of $114.00 for the next billing cycle appeared on my checking account. I called about this and was told that the service does show as cancelled and that I would be reimbursed in 6 to 8 business weeks. This is unacceptable. I have already started using another waste removal company. They should never have charged me for this cycle and certainly should not take almost two months to reimburse me.
Six weeks after I fired them, they showed up to pick up the garbage, they had not showed up during that six week period. I informed the men picking up garbage I had dropped their service, they said no one had contacted them from the office to let them know. I said I was sorry but service had been way to inconsistent to keep the service.
