United Appliance Service Repair

Awful. Repair was through 2-10 Home Warranty. Issue was with service provider. First tech out couldn't move the refrigerator. It is a tight kitchen but an appliance tech should be able to move the refrigerator. Strike 1. Therefore, I had to drive over 4 hours a few days later and move the refrigerator myself. Once moved, I called for another tech to return and complete the work and they told me it would be 2 more days before someone would be available. Strike 2. I stayed in town 2 more days until the next tech showed up. He was on time and installed a new relay switch. Interestingly enough, he did no diagnostics, just installed the part which the first tech (the one who couldn't move the refrigerator) said was the issue. The refrigerator turned on and he left. I ASSUMED the repair was complete and proceeded to then grocery store and bought over $175 of groceries to be refrigerated. Unfortunately, the part didn't fix my issue and all of the groceries went bad by Friday morning. Mush. Strike 3. I contacted Universal once gain and in the process they told me "If it isn't the relay switch, it is probably the compressor and we don't work on those". Strike 4. I contacted the warranty company and requested a new service contractor that showed up and fixed the issue. They were familiar with the brand and it's associated issues, and had a knowledgeable and effective correction which has been working just fine.
