I've seen their facility for 40 years. I like their physicians, staff and the care they give the animals. They are professional. They were opening their clinic and I happened to run by 40 years ago. They have numerous veterinarians. They are all very nice to work with. They are very professional and very caring. They are very knowledgeable. They will get to the root of the problem. They take very good care of all the needs you have with their animals. I have never gone anywhere else and they're comparable.

Took my beagle there today. Dr. Lindsay was so knowledgable and explained every detail of my pets issue in a way that mad sense. Very caring in her approach. I real pleasure. Plus the price was great. This is the place to take your pet hands down

We have used SSHS and Dr. Kane for many years. She is fantastic, and has a great ability to balance the intrusiveness of a procedure and the benefits for the animal, especially for older critters. Her "bedside manner" with skittish animals can't be beat (all of our pets are rescues).

I've been using my veterinarian, Southside Hospital for Animals, for the last 30 years. They actually acknowledge the fact that your pet is part of the family. And they treat your pet very, very well. They also are very honest. All of them are there to help you when you have emergencies, during normal hours.

I like them a lot. She listens very well and they give me different options. They will tell me what is good or not good about tests and what her opinion is. I've used her for many years. She is very good with my cat, which was very mean.

Overall it went very well, all the doctors are very friendly when I take my two cats. The only complaint I have is about the staff in the front. When I go, they give me the impression I am inconveniencing them. The operation went well, but when I found myself leaving with two cat carriers they just watch me fumble around and try to open the door... thanks for the help! Not!

Overall I thought the experience was great. When I called they were able to get me in the next day which was only three days after bringing 'Stache' home. The staff at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. Dr. Leslie was very friendly and answered all of my questions like I was the only client there all day, meaning she took her time and did not rush me like people doctors sometimes tend to do. Stache will be back in a few weeks for some more shots and I look forward to taking him there in the future.

We've had 9 years of nothing but wonderful service from this hospital, and from Karen Kane our vet, in particular. While we've seen other vets at this hospital, Dr. Kane is unique. She understands that the owner, not the pet, is her REAL patient. She educates, explains, and is very patient. She knows her pets by name. She even met me at her office on a Sunday! Sadly, she stopped taking new pets some time back, but there are two other good vets on staff. Like the other reviewer mentioned, if only physicians would have the same demeanor as our Dr. Kane...maybe M.D.s should attend vet school first?! This is a very busy practice so don't run in expecting instant service--your pet will get all the time it needs so be prepared to wait your turn.

When I showed up, I was greeted by a receptionist who was enthusiastic about my dog and showed interest. When the veterinarian took the dog back, she was very friendly and very good with my dog, Marlow. She was very knowledgable and answered all my questions and concerns in great detail and on my level. She examined Marlow thouroghly and addressed some concerns I had about him. She recommended the proper diet and was knowledgable about breed specific medications and how they will react to his medical history. She even showed me a way to train him not to nip. She gave him treats and never seemed in a rush or tried to push me along. There was no charge for the visit to do a humane society exam, so the only money I spent was on the heartworm and flea programs and some benadryl for his allergies. I expected the medicine to cost much more than it did and was pleasantly suprised when I checked out. I felt very confident when I left there that I had found the perfect vet to take care of my baby.

This is our regular veterinarian. Dr. Kane and her colleagues run the type of office that is really focused on the animals' health -- no fancy big-box "insurance programs" or memberships needed. Every time we bring our two cats to her for checkups, she spends 20 to 30 minutes with them and us, making me wish my human doctors would devote as much care to me! She really seems to know her field, discussing some of the biochemical intricacies of one of our cat's conditions with authority, but not out of our depth. In the past we had an emergency for which this veterinarian met us at her office after hours, not passing us off to a 24-hour emergency clinic, as some others in town do. This veterinary practice is quite busy, so they probably don't need the extra business a high recommendation would bring, but they deserve praise for what they provide to Savannah pet owners and I wanted to help start the Savannah Angie's List rolling.
