Terrible. Called Friday and the guy came out. First he snaked the sewer line, which I dug knowing where the cap was, to make sure it wasn't clogged or leaking. Then he noticed clear water seeping around the cap so dug to find the incoming line. In the process he punctured the line with his shovel so had to repaired that, as I saw what he did. He stated there would be no charge, duh.....better not be. Then approx. 8" from his error he found the problem. An on/off valve buried underground had rusted so he removed it and reconnected with a new line. The hole was approx. 14"X 8" with a depth of 8". After the worked was done I questioned, knowing the water had to dry before putting the soil back, how long should I wait. He stated a couple days and with that I asked should I contact the company to have someone come back and fill the hole. Guy replied no, they don't fill the holes they dig. So I was charged $425 for the snake process, removal of dirt and removing the valve and reconnecting the line. I think NOT. After plumber left I started bailing out water with a small bucket. By Sunday the water had evaporated or seeped into the ground and was dry enough to fill. I had to buy top soil as he had thrown the dirt everywhere instead of piling it in one spot. Would have waited but rain was in the forecast for Monday and predicted that coming week. Was livid about what I had done and was having to do for the cost. On Monday called the office to inquire about the filling of holes and told they ARE suppose to fill the holes. Decided to speak with the manager and he said yes they are responsible then proceeded to tell him what happened. He stated he'd come out in a couple days. When the manager came out showed him where the hole was and what I had to do for the outrageous cost. He apologized but did not compensate me in anyway for filling the hole, buying the soil or for the outrageous fee I paid for what little was done. Not to mention the guy doing the repair had to go the Home Depot as he didn't have the parts he needed for my repair job, guess I was paying for the travel and parts too. In called other plumbing companies was told I was overcharged by $100 to $125 more than what it should have been. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ROTO-ROOTER. Feel they took advantage of me and didn't appreciate how they handled the situation.

We had water in the basement for the first time in 15 years. Baffled about the cause, we called Rotor Rooter. A very professional young man came out the same day of the call..... he had some difficulty finding the source of the problem (as we had!) but after persevering for several hours, he located the drain under a downspout that was actually quite a distance from the water problem. We were very pleased with his hard work and determination to fix the problem. I would certainly call Rotor Rooter again but hopefully, we will have another 15 years of dryness. Carol Mather

The serviceman told me toilet was old (approx. 25 years, as opposed to 3 other toilets I have between 35-40 years old that work fine) and needed replacing--something that RotoRooter could do for me (off course!). He told me that if he squirted a few drops of dishwasher detergent in toilet tank and it flushed easier, that meant I needed a new toilet--which, again, THEY could provide/install for me. Sure enough, toilet did flush easier after adding a few drops of detergent in tank. I told serviceman I would need to check with my husband before deciding whether or not to get a new toilet. However, I told him, I would like for him to check main line, while here, to make sure it was not somehow clogged. But, he was not able to figure out how to unscrew the cap to access the line. He told me I owed $75, and I told him I wanted to pay via credit card (which I was told was an accepted form of payment). However, he asked if I could give him a check instead. I thought that seemed suspicious and so told him I preferred paying via credit card.

A couple of weeks later, when toilet flushing continued to be sluggish, I called a plumber. He removed cap to access main line, found it was clogged, cleaned it, replaced cap to clean out area, told me toilet was fine and did NOT need to be replaced, and charged me $135, In addition, he gave me some inexpensive tips on how to keep roots out of our mainline system. The toilet has been flushing perfectly since.

I would never use or recommend RotoRooter services in the future. In addition to being a total rip-off, I think all they were interested in was providing/installing an unnecessary new toilet.

Had another company to come out but they couldn't find where the line came out of the house, After they were unsucessful, they called RotoRooter for me. Brad came out, got right to work and found the problem. I was a little nervous about what the cost was going to be since everyone seemed to have a time finding the line to do the job successfully, but I was very pleased with the price! He was also very professional and everything is working great. I would use them again.

Could not ask for better. I let Jack select the toilet and faucet he thought best as I was pleased with his choice in the past. He really knows his business.

Showed up when the said they would. Service was smooth. Final price was same as quote. Was not the cheapest quote I got, but I watched my friend go cheap and then have to spend twice as much to fix the mess the unlicensed plumber made of it, so I went with the more professional company to get it done right the first time. They got it right the first time. They called after to check and see how things were and I thought that was very professional.

Then the fellow said that he didn’t think he could do it because he thought it was the septic tank. He said he would clear the ground of the septic tank and take a look at it. He never said that there would be a charge for it. He wound up charging me $125.00 to do the digging, and it turned out being a wrong diagnosis. I had a septic tank company come out and they said it was fine.

I called the office manager to tell him that the fellow that came out never gave me an estimate and never told me he would charge me. She was very nasty and refused to refund my money. It was a very unpleasant discussion and experience. I certainly don’t recommend them.

After reading my review, this company got back in touch me to fix the situation. This company gave me a full refund and a credit on a future job.

I thought it was going to be much more expensive, but it wasn't. They were very satisfactory.

The price was certainly an issue with them because another company quoted a much lesser price for the project. They were fine. I have used them earlier also and they came out very quickly after I called them. Another time when I needed some work done in emergency they came out very late in the night and fixed it for me. So, there is nothing wrong with them, but, I did not use them only because the other company gave me a much more reasonable price.
