I had prism do a rather expensive inspection and re-inspection before purchasing my home. Lots of good reviews must mean good service, I was wrong. The inspector and woman I talked to were pleasant, but a water leak was overlooked and the first time I turned on the shower water covered the master bath due to a loose shower head. Once the water was turned off, the faucet in the tub was then found to be leaking. Both of these leaks would have been evident had the water been turned on in the bathroom, which was clearly not done but was supposed to be done as part of the inspection. Spoke with Rick about my concerns, he got extremely defensive and was very unprofessional and rude and offered no solution to remedy the issue they overlooked other than to call a plumber and sorry you bought an old house. He stated there was no leak present at the time of inspection, but last I checked shower heads don't loosen on their own. Although it's a seemingly small issue, it makes you wonder what other corners they cut or what else they may overlook.

I was hesitant at first to use Prism as this is the company my Realtor recommended. However I heard good things from other sources so I agreed to use them and I am glad I did. Prism was great to work with. They were able to schedule my home inspection right away, the inspector was on time and did a wonderful job for us. Though the home was new construction the inspector found several defects including: some bad wiring and missing electric outlets that should have been caught by the city inspector, our hot water heater was installed on the garage floor not elevated as required, again the city missed this. In the end our contractor agreed to fix all the defects found. I would encourage anyone looking for a home inspection to call these guys.

nkExcellent. Walked thru the inspection he was going to do beforehand, and gave me details as he was going thru the house. Even gave me ball park figures for potential repairs.Very helpful in my home buying decision!
