There was a mess-up with the scheduling of boundary installation, so that was delayed.
We purchased the lifetime warranties on the dog collars. Our dogs are old and not very active. After a year, one collar broke and the receiver had fallen off the collar in the yard and was lost. When I called, I was told that the lifetime warranty was no good in this case because I could not provide the receiver for repair. I would have to pay the $250 (one year warranty) or $350 (lifetime warranty) to have the collar replaced!
Shame on me for not reading the fine print, I guess. But for the premium price, there should be a better warranty in place.
From the start it was extremely easy to set up an appointment with Invisible Fencing's online contact form. I received a courteous call and a very professional person came to my home to take measurements, talk me through the process, and give me pricing options. I thought it was very appropriate that she also had a dog and an invisible fence. She was able to answer all my questions and concerns. She was even very polite when one of my irate neighbors drove up in the driveway to complain about my dogs. Then another professional staffer came out to install the hardware and walk me through the training process. I also received follow up emails with tips, and now get check up emails to make sure things are going smoothly. Which they are!! I called other brands, but I found Invisible Fence to be the only company willing to come to my home to give me a free estimate. The others just gave me ball park figures over the phone based on acreage I gave them. Coming to my home to see my obstacles and taking actual measurements was extremely important to me as this whole concept was very new and I had a large area to cover which I knew would be a big investment. I had weighed many options including a conventional fence, but again, it was the professionalism of Invisible Fence that got my business. Thank you!
