Glenn Davis

Glenn came to our house shortly after contacting him. Reviewed what needed to be done as far as re-glazing and painting of the house's windows. Windows need a lot of prep work, removing old paint and glazing. Also, some wood damage that needed to be repairs/replaced. Glenn gave a very fair bid. He started and keep working until finished. Weather caused a short delay. Found additional wood damage which he also repaired/replaced. He and his crew did a very good job in a timely manner. The quality of the final product was excellent. He charge me a very fair price for the additional wood repair/replacement.
Overall, an excellent job at a fair price. I would recommend Glenn to anyone.

Glenn arrived quickly to give an estimate. We were happy w/ the price, they began work immediately. It didn't take them long at all to finish the work. Each time they finished something he would ask if we were pleased with the results. There were a couple of things that we mentioned to him and he addressed the issues right away making sure they were to our liking. Very friendly and helpful! He wanted to make sure we were happy with his work and we were.

I have a wood frame house in the historic district. Glenn was extremely responsive and came out to give me an estimate at once. He delivered on his promised estimate and time schedule. He also helped me on another project with quick turnaround. He and his assistants are very diligent and a pleasure to work with.

Glen arrived on the day scheduled to pressure wash the house. They completed this portion of the work in a timely and competent manner. 4 days later, Glen and his worker Jamie arrived to begin the scraping of the house. After about 2 hours, I had to leave the jobsite for a few hours on an errand. When I returned they were gone. Their tools and ladders were still here, so I assumed they would be back the next day as planned. WRONG! They returned later that same day to pick up the equipment, and for Glen to give the news that he would NOT BE BACK! He made a lame excuse that he did not have the man power, and that the worker Jamie, was not interested in working on the job. In other words, he left me high and dry.
I had gotten other bids for this job, but because of the great reviews on Angie's List, I decided to use Glen Davis. I bent over backwards to accommodate his schedule, and show perhaps even too much flexibility with regards to scheduling and timing. This turned out to be a huge mistake. This is an unreliable, unprofessional contractor who is not true to his word. I would urge all people in search of a painter to LOOK ELSEWHERE.

We have a 2 story wood frame home in the historic district.
Glenn did an excellent and thorough job. He and his crew were very polite and accommodating to our needs.
We have some interior painting we want to do in the near future and we definitely will be using Glenn.

The pricing was good and he was good to work with. He was very prompt and he did everything that he said that he would do. He did the job well and I would highly recommend him.

We immediately liked Glenn when he came over to take a look at painting our downtown Savannah home. He is a very friendly guy who came with great recommendations from some friends. We were in need of a complete exterior painting job ranging from a historic house (circa 1840) to a stucco addition on the rear of home built in 1970s - so a big difference in the and quot;typeand quot; of home and detail (there are A LOT of windows!) He reviewed the project with us walking the exterior of our home discussing our needs and even made some suggestions based on his experience painting historic homes in Savannah. He gave us some addresses of some homes (including some of Savannah's museum homes) that he had painted.

One thing that I really appreciated about Glenn was that when we expressed concern over one window that had some wood deterioration, he assured us they would not paint over any windows without scraping and inspecting to make sure it was sensible to paint. Our window that was in question needed some repair and Glenn and his team were able to repair it before painting which was a huge added value!

As far as punctuality was concerned, we had never had an experience like this - Glenn and his team always showed up when they said they would and on time too! They were also very good about cleaning up after themselves each day and kept the work site clean while they were painting.

The project took right at 3 weeks from start to finish (a couple of rain days were in there) and we could not be more pleased with the work. Glenn and his team were prompt, detail oriented and did a great job. Glenn even polished all of the hardware on our front door before reinstalling it after painting. It was nice to have someone working on our home who took obvious pride in his (and his team's) work. We've already asked Glenn for some quotes on some interior jobs for our homes so we'll let you know how that goes too!

Glennreported to work on time as scheduled and completed the work in the manner agreed upon. He did the work quickly and it was completed in a very timely manner. He even repainted a poor color choice... it was so bad, he took pity on me. He is great to work with, and I have recommended him to several neighbors. His price was better by far that the other estimates obtained. He is a great contractor. I don't think you could go wrong with this vendor.

Glenn did a great job. I asked for references, and he was happy to provide them. All the reports were good. He started work the day after we called. He pressure washed the house and then started the prep work. He repaired rotted wood and re-glazed some of the windows. The columns on our house needed some special attention to make them beautiful after several years of neglect--so the team sanded and resurfaced the bad areas. All in all, they had a hard job and did it well!

Glenn completed every job to 100% satisfaction.
