It was a bit tricky to schedule and have them come on the day they said they would come. Also when I had a future project ( installing a new bathroom fan) that they had quoted me on and said they could do they never returned my text messages. I think they prefer to do larger projects instead of smaller projects which is unfortunate when customers with smaller projects may have larger projects that need to be attended to in the future.

I received an immediate response after my inquiry. Earnest Spiva, owner, came the same day to look at the vinyl fence and gate that needed repair. I received a detailed quote within a few days and the project was scheduled. Earnest showed up as scheduled, on time, did an excellent job, was courteous, efficient and helpful. Work was done as explained, completed quickly and everything was left cleaned up and neat. I had a double gated vinyl fence. One gate was damaged by a storm and broke off one of the hinges. I requested to change to a single gate. The result is amazing. Gate is easier to operate, now has ability to be locked and looks significantly better than original installation. I will definitely use Earnest again for future projects. I don’t think you will find a more knowledgeable, professional, experienced, or nicer person for all your handyman needs.

It went very well. They are hard workers, and take pride in what they do. Earnest was very good about telling me exactly what he could do, what it cost, and the time it would take to do each project. I felt that he was very honest, and look forward to working with him in the future. So glad I found DVA on Angie's List after searching for a reputable handyman for some time.

Great! Everything done professionally and correct the first time and when they finished they cleaned up and everything was perfect.

Everything went great. Earnest was easy to reach by text, showed up when he promised, was extra nice, and did a great job. Even when he was very ill with the flu he sent his assistant out and she did a great job, also!! Will definitely use again the next time I need a handyman.

He put a couple of clients on the back burner because this was an emergency. He did it within a day of calling him. He does excellent work. He is very personable, and I like dealing with him. I can't think of a thing he could improve, he was perfect.

It was a good price. In fact, when he told me the total, I thought that was reasonable. I know that when you have a handyman, you should get all of the hours in, so I wait until I have a bunch of stuff to do before I hire them. He calls me back the same day. He comes when he says his going to come. 

I have other handyman that have been good, but they are out of business. Once I find a handyman I like, I stick with them.

I'm from Cartersville Georgia and needed a rental house repaired In Savannah. There aren't many contractors that do what they say they will do it, when they say they will do it and finish a job ahead of schedule. I called him on a Tuesday afternoon, he contacted the tenant and scheduled for the next day. I received his estimate with timestamped pictures the day he went out. He give me a reasonable timeframe to complete the project and finished ahead of schedule. He sent me timestamped after pictures. Of course I called my tenant and he said that Ernest was very professional and kept the job site cleaned the entire time. He said that his employees were clean and non-threatening. He is the only contractor that will be working on my properties in Savannah I do hope to personally meet him eventually instead of by phone and email. I hardly ever rate people in this line of work but this company does deserve it.

Several different items were needing repair such as wood rot on the outside and sheet rock in areas of the attic, etc. his price was very reasonable, he was very personable, and did an excellent job on repairs
