Mark is the manager who showed us around; we selected White quartz; and Dave gave him the template.
Dave has and does a lot of business with the firm; so we let Mark and him work out the details. Told him to let me know cost and a check would be dropped off.
(Should have suspected something when Mark wrote Nothing down.)
After a couple of weeks, Dave started calling (umpteen times) with never a response -- 2-3 times each week for almost 6 weeks.
Finally, late last week Mark calls Dave to say the pieces are ready -- one problem: they are black granite. 1 1/2" thick. REALLY!
Now he is saying we'll get them this Thursday; but we can only hope.
If he treats Dave this way, you should wonder how he will treat your job?
We will never go back again -- Ever!
UPDATE: Dave finally reached the owner, who was appalled over the situation. He apologized profusely, promptly got the piece produced, and comp'ed the charges.
Although, the owner was sincere and responsive, I would find it impossible to trust them in the future...
