Counter Fitters

After selecting the slabs for our new home, we discussed at length with company personnel, the amount of counter overhang of the sink, the type of counter edge, and our concern for good seam work. I even forewarned her how particular I am.  We left the store thinking it would go well,  The lady that helped us was very nice and attentive.  Upon completion of the install, we went to the house and examined the work and found the undercounter sink we had purchased from them extended out past the granite, which was exactly what we told them we did NOT want.  We had been very specific in this area.  We rejected the slab, and the builder had them remove it and fabricate and install a new one.  The new one has the sink exactly equal to the granite around most of it and it extends outside of the granite at the back.  This after explicitly explaining what we wanted and why we were rejecting the first install!  Additionally, the slab is not polished very well and at the seam it is not polished at all and is actually flat/dull in one corner.  We discovered this after taking occupancy and properly cleaning the counters.  After using a granite fabricator in Atlanta on a different house, we have seen what good granite work can look like and this is certainly not it, very disappointed.
