They showed up on time and completed the work faster than I had expected. The porches looked beautiful! This is not the first time I had used CertaPro and I was just as pleased this time as I was before!

This is the second time we have used Certa Pro. The first was to paint exterior trim and the second was for interior work. The same crew did both jobs. Both results were outstanding. We will use them again next year. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Certa Pro here on the island.

Andrew was very professional and communicated with me well. He inspected the job once complete and had his painters come back and complete punch list items.

Great, they came on time, finished on time, and it looks better than I expected. They really went out of their way to make sure the job was done right, and the attention to detail was noticeable. I will definitely hire again.

It did not go well. Two painters arrived at 10:30 a.m.as promised but said they had to go get some paint (since they knew beforehand what paint would be needed I don't know why they didn't get it prior to their arrival). They said they would be back in hour but instead I waited all day until one painter came back around 4 p.m.. He stayed less than an hour and only worked on the small projects. He returned the next day, and finished everything (the ceiling and the odd jobs) by about 4:15 p.m. I wasn't satisfied with the job he did on the woodwork so he stayed awhile longer to try to address my concerns. I was charged an additional $190 for the odd jobs plus the painter hit me up for $26 for a quart of paint he purchased. I have no idea how the $190 figure was calculated and was not given a receipt or an explanation. Thus, the total cost for what was really just one day's work by one painter was over $1400. Moreover, the next day I noticed that a seam was still visible where he had taken a piece of the ceiling's drywall out to ensure there was no lingering mold or dampness. Certa Pro's response was that this is a common problem when a piece of the ceiling is removed and that there really wasn't anything they could do about it. I can't help but wonder if the ceiling would have come out better if the painter taken the two days I was told would be needed to do the job.

Overall CertaPro did a very nice job. Painting the interior of the house made a huge difference and the results are beautiful. The painters were pleasant and worked very hard.

When looking for a paint company we received less expensive estimates but went with CertaPro because they seemed to be the most professional and were able to meet our tight deadline. One thing I was unhappy with was the customer service we received once the painting started. I was told painting would start on a Tuesday, a man showed up, looked around for a half hour or so then said he would be back the next day to start. The two painters showed up late more than half the days. One day they showed up several hours late – it turns out there were issues with their vehicle, which I understand, but no one from the company called to let me know, I had to call (after waiting for them for two hours) to verify that they were still coming.

After painting was done they packed up and left and no one walked through the house with us or followed up to see if we had any concerns. There were some minor things that we were able to clean up ourselves such as paint on the carpet and bathroom fixtures and missing outlet covers.

CertaPro did outstanding work with the exterior painting of my house in three colors.  The team of Tommy Hall, Lawrence Sheppard and Torrance Sheppard were cheerful, careful, thorough and diligent professionals.  They were patient with and solicitous of all my concerns, every one of which they satisfied promptly and completely.  I was particularly impressed with their attention to detail and thorough cleanup every day.  I would recommend CertaPro and Tommy Hall?s team without reservation to anyone.  Bravo!  Job well done.

Excellent communications.  Very reasonable scope of work (others wanted to apply two coats of stain at twice the price when all we were doing was re-staining/re-painting the same colors).  Prep job seemed adequate, but only time will tell on that, right? Repaired some areas with wood rot.  Work crew headed up by Terry was very professional, good daily cleanup, to the extent possible stayed out of the way of normal household activities.  All in all, the work matched the proposal and there were no surprises. The house looks great, and at first impressions we're very pleased.  The real test comes five to ten years down the road, and if I'm still around, I'll try to remember to update this, LOL!

Chris responded promptly to my request for a visit to the house we were purchasing to give us an estimate. It took us a couple of weeks to close on the property and the start date for Certa Pro was a bit of a moving target for a week. As soon as we closed they got to work scraping the popcorn ceilings, patching sheet rock, sanding rough places, priming and painting. Chris worked with us in coordinating with the flooring contractor who sanded and restained the floors, he also recommended some other contractors when we were having trouble getting some others recommended to us to respond. Since we were not in residence, Chris met us at the house a couple of times to review progress and what was being done. All in all just a great company to work with. Most of the other painting companies we were referred to by friends were small one and two man  companies, but we needed a full crew as this was a fairly big project. These men were fast, efficient and courteous.

On the plus side. The house was painted a few years ago and the paint is holding up well. As for negatives, we had asked that ALL rotten wood be replaced. We understood that the more problems they found, the greater our cost would be . We were happy to pay whatever it cost as we wanted the job done correctly. In spite of this, we found multiple areas of rotten wood painted over. Once this was pointed out, the areas were repaired but we felt we should not have to check daily to ensure that the job was done correctly. There is no box below to say I might use this provider in future. If I was assured of better supervision, I might.
Response from CertaPro Painters® of Savannah
"It should be noted this job was done over 5 years ago, in 2009 and it is good to hear that a 5 year old paint job is holding up well (which is why people hire us). Concerning the carpentry, there was a tremendous amount as a matter of fact at the time we did the original estimate we made the suggestion they may want to get with a window contractor and replace the windows (but they opted to have us just repair them) and we also suggested they get the roof replaced. I would not disagree that we missed some rotted areas as a matter of fact we talked about it because the roofing contractor (who came in after us) found more after they removed the old roof, the flashing and gutters, we just did not see it but we also NEVER charged them for it either. We primarily do carpentry on time and materials (as in this case) and this is precisely why. There is no way you can guarantee you will get it all, you just do the best you can and only charge them for exactly what you do replace."

We were delighted from beginning to end. Chris scheduled an appointment, at a convenient time for me, shortly after I called for an estimate. I was very impressed with his professionalism and found him extremely easy to work with. The workmen he sent over were courteous, their work was exceptional, they cleaned up any mess they made, and they made a conscientous effort to please. The work was completed much sooner than anticipated, and the price was considerably lower than a competitive painting contractor in town.
An across-the-street neighbor was so impressed with the work he saw CertaPro doing at our house that he now has them working at a project on his house.
The next time we have a painting project, CertaPro will definitely be called by us again.

We engaged CertaPro Painters to paint eighteen townhouses in the fall of 2013. During both the bidding and working processes we found them to be exceptional in every way--responsive, courteous, quick and quiet. Chris Britten, who owns the company, patiently answered all our questions in a timely fashion and provided numerous quotes on request. Andrey Silva, the foreman of our crew, was knowledgeable, likable and reliable. He kept meticulous records and interacted easily with both his painters and our residents. Our independent inspector said he had rarely seen such a good job. CertaPro made our painting experience a breeze, and we would definitely hire them again.

Their price was competitive with two other quotes. The company representative was helpful, had some good suggestions regarding the selection of the paints and how to do proceed with some other cosmetic issues with the building so we decided to go with Certapro. The quote was made in October  2012 but unfortunately the bidding process took too long that by the time we were ready to contract the work their schedule filled up and we were unable to proceed. I asked them to contact me when the schedule would allow and I got a call in late January.
The scheduler called to schedule the work for the third week in February which was not good for me because I was scheduled to be out of town. I made it clear I didn't want anyone working at the house while I was out of town and I asked for a later date. They asked if they could move the date up 2 weeks and I agreed but rainy weather pushed the work out  a week and a half; in the end they were at the house when I was out of town. This wouldn't have been a problem but there was an issue that hadn't been resolved and that was around where to make the boundary between the gray house and the white facia board and sophets. In the end, they opted to include the siding trim along with the sophets. The trim butts into the corner trim which was left grey which struck me as an odd transition. It looks fine but is an example of the type of miscommunication I was trying to avoid by not being out of town when the work started.
There was a significant amount of repair work that was needed. The crew tried but construction wasn't really their strong suit; the new siding was not exactly level in some spots and was damaged in others. Some of the rotten brick molding should have been replaced but instead was filled with wood putty and bondo. The crew foreman was cordial and responsive and tried to address my observations and concerns. The last day it looked like they were being too optimistic about finishing. I found a rotten board and they quickly moved to replace the board and paint it. There were a number of other spots that were missed and they moved to paint them but it is questionable whether they got two coats of paint on those areas. Some minor things were found later, like hardware that wasn't completely replaced and areas where the primer was not completely covered by the house paint. No complaints with regard to the caulking.
This being said, my only recommendation would be to contract the repairs separately because when it came to the paint job it was very solid. These guys are painters not construction workers so I will probably will personally return to individual areas and replace or repair accordingly - the construction work was done for a very modest price and it was better to remove the rotten sections now rather then later.
They did a very good job with regarding to taping things off, almost no unwanted  paint spray on cement or windows and the lines between the grey and white were very clean. In the original estimate, I asked for the trim on the windows, and garage to remain white on the side of the trim as well as the face to give the trim a more defined look but I didn't remind them and they probably saved time by painting the trim the house color up to the face of the windows and garage trim. I asked them to treat the back deck and it looks terrific. I also asked them to refinish the front door and it also looks very nice.
I would use them again, I just would have to be very clear to review the specifics and to do any construction myself or another contractor.
