I had our electricity go out as a result of using an electric space heater in an older home we just moved into. I had replaced the round small fuses, but it didn't solve the problem. Bill responded and was there the morning I called and was able to solve the issue. He was polite, thorough and extremely helpful. He explained everything in detail and told me just to call him next time and he could walk me through the process without the need for a service call. I would recommend him and will use him in the future.

It was fine and he showed up when he was supposed to but the price is a little bit high. The scheduling was not a problem. He came out one day too check the situation and then came back 2 to 3 days to do the work.

Bill and Brian were contracted for a continuing project remodeling a kitchen. They started rerouting lighting, counter outlets, stove connection, and refrigerator cabling while the walls were open, and when the cabinets were in, returned to finish and ensure that all circuits were working.

I found Barbee Electric Company on Angie's List. I could not be more pleased with the service. Bill Barbee promptly answered his cell phone personally the first time I called him (and every time I called him thereafter). I told him that my house was "under contract' and had been inspected and I had a checklist of items to be dealt with. This list included: resolving a double lugged breaker issue, installing 3 GFCI receptacles, and installing junction box covers in the attic and on the water heater. All of this needed to be clearly documented for the new owners. Mr. Barbee came out in advance to look at the breaker issue one day (spent over an hour) to decide what items he needed to do the job. Then, he and Bryan, his assistant, came out on 1/25/2013 and addressed and resolved every issue. Mr. Barbee did not charge me for that advance visit at all, but he did charge me for travel time for the day of service. He and Bryan had to go to Home Depot to purchase the 22 cover platems also on 1/25. I was charged $82.50 per hour for 5.5 hours which came to $453.75 and $114.50 for supplies.
Mr. Barbee clearly explained all of the charges in advance. He seems as honest as the day is long. He is certainly very conscientious and hard-working. You can tell that he loves what he does and takes great pride in it. His assistant Bryan was very professional also. They were a delight to have working in my home.
I highly recommend Barbee Electric.

The guys were great with my elderly mother in law. Arrived within two hours of call. Issue diagnosed and repaired in short order. Very polite. Very professional. We would certainly use them again.

I keep looking for reasons to bring Mr. Barbee back, and appreciate his skill, creativity, and work ethic every time I turn on one of the switches he installed, the light and fan he installed, and each time our garage light comes on automatically making it safer and easier to get around then ever. Fast, high quality work, very fair pricing, and world-class customer service make me want to stand at an intersection and hand out Mr. Barbee's cards.

Overall, very pleased with service provided. Made three trips and each time arrived as scheduled. Although work sounds relatively easy as described, sure glad it wasn't me crawling around under neath the house.
Provided two hours of work for two men at $82.50 per hour for both, total of $180 to correct the problem including all parts and labor. Service provider did not charge anything for second trip since due to circumstances beyond their control, he could not further investigate and correct the problem, i.e. they made service call and did not charge. I felt price was very reasonable.
I would not hesitate to recommend this company; in fact have already mentioned their name to some friends and neighbors.

we began noticing power surges in our home, light blinking, television and computer going off. We called someone recommended by friends. Nightmare!! Fired him and joined Angies List, found Barbee Electric and called the same day. They came out and started the hunt foe the problem inside our home. He also contacted Savannah Electric and the sent someone out to search out side. Thanks to Mr Barbee we are working safetly again. Will use him again and will recommend to all our friends. I called after reading a review on Angie's List and Mr. Barbee arranged to come check out the work the same day. Mr. Barbee and his associate, Brian, did a very professional job installing the new outdoor outlet. They were successful troubleshooting the problems with the three other circuits - two other electrical firms tried and could not solve these problems on previous visits - when needed, they ordered two new outdoor floodlights, called when they came in and made a return visit to install the new units. These guys are true professionals and they will do all of my future electrical work.

We had new equipment that needed electrical lines run. Mr Barbee was able to do the work in one day and was very professional. He advised us on two other jobs that would have been costly and not what we would have wanted. This saved us a good deal of money that I feel others would have done to increase their profits. Bill Barbie is invested in his customers being satisfied. I'm tempted to say that he under promises and over delivers, but what's more accurate is that Bill Barbie and Brian, Bill's assistant, don't commit to a task until they're sure it can be done and done right. Once they take a project on they have talked enough to me to know what I'm after, figured out a way to do it, know the parts they will need, and the steps it will take. Then they do exactly what they say. I felt like we received a great deal of quality professional work for the money charged, and love the feeling of security and happiness that Bill Barbie brought us by bringing light where there was darkness.

They were fine and things went good with them. My experience with them was very positive. They were very professional. They didn?t have the part that they needed originally, but they just took the time right then and there to run back to their office and come back. I appreciated that rather than rescheduling the whole thing.
