Downs install a ductless system in on of our family rooms. They were on time, professional and thorough. They returned when something didn't quite work and they fixed it immediately. I would highly recommend them.

We called 3 different hvac companies to give quotes. Marcus was patient and gave us differing quotes and warranty info for different hvac products so we could compare equally. Marcus also outlined what they would do. Partially went with them because their price was fair, they had good reviews on Angie's List, but mostly felt he was knew what he was talking about. This was a huge project and done during their busiest season in the heat. Chris came out first to draw out best placement for all the vents and units. The ductwork was the longest part because of the extent of the work and they were low on manpower due to it being busy season. There were a few hiccups with putting the units in, but whenever we called Marcus he was right on top of it. Marcus wanted to make sure we were happy and satisfied with the work they did and we are. The inspector gave them high marks for the quality of the ductwork they did. Since then, we had an exterminator out and he even commented after going into our attic what a good job someone had done on our ductwork. Thanks Downs!

We have the best sheetmetal workers in the area and we don't use cheap ductboard ductwork. There is no substitute for quality at Downs Heating and Air. We have a great relationship with all local inspectors because they know we treat every job like it is our Momma's house. Contacted Downs through speaking with Marcus of Downs Heating & Air. Marcus visited site and provided a proposal on cost. Downs beat all other estimate's(Canady's, Westberry, & Ace Pro Heating & Air), by $1500.00. Install was scheduled for November 5, 2013. The names of all involved were Marcus, Rosi, Ricky and George. Marcus, Ricky and George arrived at 9:00 AM as contracted and began working immediately. Marcus left with old outside unit shortly after it was disconnected. Ricky installed outside unit and thermostat. He also assisted George in attic with disconnecting/connecting air handler in attic and "buggy lugging" units from and to new position in attic. Install took about 6 to 7 hours which included a through test of the systems heating and air conditioning before they left. Documents were given to me for both systems. The heating season is upon us. Will write another review after season is over if problems arise.

I called the office to request a quote. Marcus called back within an hour and made an appointment. He came to my home, spoke with me about what I was looking for and looked at the space. He then returned to his office and sent me a choice of two units with prices. I was pleased with his thoroughness and response time. I also liked that I could reach Marcus by email, cell phone and text.
On the day of installation, Marcus and another employee arrived on time and got straight to work. After installation, the work areas were cleaned and furniture was replaced. Marcus demonstrated the unit and asked if I had any questions.
I am pleased with the workmanship and Marcus' professional manner. His employee was also very professional. I was so pleased with the work and response that I have decided to use Down's to maintain my central HVAC system as well.

I was with a big company in the area for around 20 years and they came in here to do a routine check. They told me that my entire unit had to replaced immediately. They told me that they had one that they could replace it with. My unit wasn't that old and I wasn't having any problems. They came in with all this new equipment and technology. This was when the housing market was down and nobody was building houses or needed new air conditioning units from this company. I figured I was being taken advantage of. So, I called Downs Heating & Air Contditioning CO, who had been taking care of my in-law's AC unit since they bought their home in 1981. They never talked my in-laws into a new unit or anything and kept everything humming. So, I called them and they came and checked everything. They said to me, "Ma'am, you don't have a leak and even if you did we could fix it." They told me I didn't need a new unit. Downs Heating & Air Contditioning CO is the company I go with. They are dependable and honest. They have a history with my in-laws, never trying to rip them off. It is a family owned company. It is a father and son and they are great.
