They gave us an appointment, and weren't able to keep the appointment, and got changed to the next day. We had a hurricane here, and it was an emergency situation. Not fair to say they didn't have a good rating. I think they are responsive. We had them in Brooklyn. They are reliable, professional safety company. They offer a variety of options for the home. They customize when they come in. Our experience has been good. I would definitely recommend them to someone. They live up to their reputation. I do not know what the going rate is for this service, so I would be penalizing them.

Anytime the alarm goes off, normally if we make a mistake, they text my husband right away to let him know the alarm has gone off.  They alert us right away.  They've been pretty responsive when we've needed them to come out and adjust something or to work with the security box.  We have 4 openings to the house that had to be covered and we have a lot of windows.  We have 2 sirens, cameras, we got medical pendant alerts, glass break device, second keypad.  There's a lot of stuff we had.  My husband dealt with the guys who came and he did most of the talking. The thing I really like about ADT compared to the other company we used, is when we had the other one we couldn't open the windows.  We had to have the windows closed all the time else the alarm would go off.  Now we can open windows and still the windows are covered if it goes above a certain height or if they're pulled down.  That's the only thing that really stands out to me.  The thing that made the real difference for me was that I can sleep with the windows open at night and air the house out that I couldn't do before.  I guess it's just the difference in technology that they use.  The house is pretty secure.  It's not overly sensitive where it's going off all of the time.  Sometimes it does go off if we open and we forget the alarm is on.  It's pretty versatile.  My husband really loves the fact that he can have the outside of the house monitored around the perimeter.  I don't remember what the first price was.  I know we live in a big house.  $2,000 sounds pricey to me, but I don't really know what the going price is for this kind of service.  They were very knowledgeable.  They seemed to know what they were doing.  They came and did the work and didn't waste any time.  We've been pretty satisfied with them, we don't have them out here often.  They are a pretty young company here.  I think responsiveness is the only area I would give them a B.  I think sometimes they just didn't have enough staff, they were just starting up.  As far as the responsiveness to the alarm going off that is something different.  I'm not sure which responsiveness you're asking about. I'm going to take responsiveness to mean did they respond when the alarm goes off quickly and I say, yes.

The repair was not effective.   

If they have to come out, they come out on time.

Unfortunately it was a day too late as our home was broken into the night before.  I felt angry and exposed.  The ADT alarm service was professional and thorough.  They helped us feel safe in our home again.

They are always courteous when dealing with ADT.

I had them in my other house and they were perfect. I have never had a complaint at all, but from the day we moved in this house and they installed security systems, it has been a failure. Last night they called us and told us that the living room was on fire. There was no fire in the living room. They've told us that the place is on fire 3 times now. The system is broken and we've begged them to come. Twice they've sent out people to fix it and on the same day they came out to fix it, they said that it was alright. We got the notice that the house was burning down or somebody was breaking in to the house. The system is broken and they apparently cannot fix it. We reached a point where we told them to come and take it out. It was horrible. They called up at 3 o clock in the morning and said that my house was on fire and I needed to get out. Even if there was a fire, we have a smoke alarm and that should have gone off. I had been an absolute fan of theirs for 7 years, but this has been such a horrible experience since they've put in this house. They don’t seem to be able to fix it. We're paying a lot of money; the installation was over $3,000. We've put in a lot of money into this not to have it work. I am totally fed up with them. I pay $60 a month. We've put those little warnings when somebody comes in through the window and I didn’t have it in my other house. We have warnings if there were breakages in the same circuit; if the circuit is broken, they will call on every window. We had a carbon monoxide warning the last time. They were excellent on everything they could give us. We still get called at 3 in the morning that my living room is on fire; we had a call on Sunday morning.  For them to be so worth it for 6 years, and then when we came to this house to have them mess it so badly and not fixed the thing. I finally told them to come take it out and give the money back. For the 6 years in my other house, they were at perfection, but in the new house not a thing has gone right. The installation, monitoring is poor, calling us at 4:30 in the morning telling us that there is a fire, when there is not. I want to make sure that they understand that it was a wonderful service in our other house, but in this house it has completely gone bad. The price wasn’t worth it, even if the system worked. Since it doesn’t work, it is extraordinarily overpriced. They had someone out the next day, but of course he didn’t come on schedule. Then he said he fixed it and went off, and 3 days later we had another alarm tell that our house was on fire and that we had to get out. He hadn’t fixed it at all and we've had that happen twice. You would think that when you have a customer that was with you for 6 years, and when all of a sudden they tell you to lift it all up because it was bad, you would actually listen. So far, there is nothing. Even if they gave us free service for a year, I would be highly suspicious.

The guy they came out was friendly. We started with them because we had a discounted with the U.S. S. A. Program. They seemed to be prompt. I will keep using them in the future.
