AK Appliance Repair

I have hired Agazi on previous occasions to repair a dryer and a stove. These were simple repairs and were done properly. I recently hired him again to fix a 3-year old dishwasher that had a small leak. Unfortunately my experience this time was not as good. I paid him $194 upfront and after replacing 2 small parts in the door itself that did not do anything to fix the problem he told me to contact someone else because he had no solutions. I contacted another appliance repair. The first thing that person did was to look under the dishwasher and, based on the location of the puddle of water, he was able to figure out the issue. I asked Agazi to refund my money since the parts that he put in did not need to be replaced. He refunded only $51. I was disappointed that he did not have the knowledge to fix my problem.

Saved us money by repairing our unit. We needed dishwasher repair a while later and called AK Appliance Repair. Very recommended!

It went very well. Washer/dryer are stacked in a very tight closet area. It required getting extra equipment to get them out and separated so the washer could be repaired. Repairs have now been made and he helped us get the washer/dryer on a new rolling base so future repairs will be much easier. I would highly recommend them.

SAME DAY SERVICE AND REPAIR!!! The scheduled me for next day (July 4th, wow), but said they had a guy in the area and if he had time, he could at least look at my dryer. He stopped by, 2 hours later, diagnosed the problem, left to get the part and had my dryer fixed within 2 hours. The cost was very reasonable.

The excellent tech, Dmytro, explored all the possible causes and isolated one switch that was broken. He brought a new one from his truck and replaced it within half an hour. I have used AK Appliances in the past and have been extremely pleased. This time was no exception.

AK Appliance came out the very next day after I called them. They came during late hours (which is a huge help for those with working schedules). The tech was friendly and polite. AK Appliance even fixed the dishwasher in the most cost effective way (not replacing optional parts). I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone! 5/5 stars!

Mr. AK (Agazi Kidane) came out when he said he would, diagnosed the problem, arranged to order the needed part, came back and installed it -- all in three days. When he was putting in the new motor, however, he noticed the door hinges were worn and about to fail, so he got hold of the parts and replaced the hinges as well. Masterly work in every phase of the operation. Mr. Kidane is certified on Bosch appliances and other high-tech brands and really knows what he's doing. He's also genial and a delight to talk to.

Asked to look at Ice Maker for hollow ice cubes -- inspected and no issues found, offered to replace unit if doesn't fit. His repair did not help. I ended up going through it myself and all it needed was to exchange the water filter - works perfectly Gas Stove ignitors were not working properly - some adjustments made and still with the same issue. Overall, paid $285 and nothing is fixed.

Exactly as I had hoped

Called for service, repair was done same day.  Very reasonably priced, kind and professional service.  

AK communicated very well - setting a date/time for visit, calling before arriving, and telling us when he would be back with the necessary part.. He called ahead for the second visit and was always timely and courteous.

My ice maker stopped working. After checking on Angie's List I selected AK Appliance Repair. When I called, the phone was answered immediately and I was able to schedule the repair for the next day. The owner of the business was also the service technician.

After doing some diagnostics he replaced the original ice maker with a new one. Then he did some more diagnostics and determined that it was not the ice maker but a sensor. He removed the new ice maker, returned the original one and then installed the new sensor. That was the problem all along and everything is now working well.

One thing that impressed me greatly was that he could have left in the new ice maker, also replaced the sensor and charged for both. I would never have known the difference. He was knowledgeable,prompt, thorough, friendly and honest. Pretty much all I would want in a repairman.

I noticed a large puddle of water coming from the back of my dishwasher that leaked onto my hardwood floors, as I ran my dishwasher. It was a real mess! I called AK Appliance Repair (after reading the reviews on Angie's List) and spoke with Agazi. He offered to come out the same day. He called an hour before out preset time and arrived promptly. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The problem was not a simple fix and after two hours of working on the issue, he repaired the leak, which was coming from two areas. After completing the job, he asked for a broom to clean up the area where he had been working. I was thrilled that he was able to fix the problem, especially on the same day that I called him. I would not hesitate to call him for any appliance repair jobs in the future. Thank you so much for the quick response to my call and for finding a solution to the problem. I am a very satisfied customer!

The install went well, the provider took his time to diagnose the problem and made sure that the appliance was operating properly before reinstalling the appliance.  He even repaired one of the kitchen faucets as a bonus.
