This experience was a total disaster and I think when a contractor asked for money before he does any work on the project, that should be a warning that you need to avoid dealing with him or her.

"Totally a false report, to begin with the customer in this case was the lady of the house,( the man was the nicest guy you could ever meet) she to this day has NO clue on what she wants. I should have nerver accepted the job after she told me she had ran several contractors off. The first day we started she told my crew " I know contractors steal" I am keeping an eye on you! My guys wanted to quit the first day! All this is a client having NOT A CLUE to what she wanted. They never finished paying for work that was done, it was not worth dealing with a "nut" like the lady of the house. The man was a true gentleman. I am sorry it ended this way, but taught me a lesson to have a contract before I start, by the way I redid the estimate in writing 3 times and each one was shot down by a lady letting her neighbor tell her what she does and does not need. All of this for a small bathroom."
