I would not go with this company again. Paid $17,900 for two walk in showers that look like they took out of an RV. the look is more like $4000. referred from my cousin and then I referred my friend at work before installed. don't worry about getting your referral money at all, it's a scam. Salesman told me that once bathrooms were taken out if anything was broken they would fix and cover. Wrong. I had some standing water from broken pan and was told it was sewage from toilet going to shower. They were suppose to fix everything. No I had to call in a plumber and pay more for them to tell me yes it's standing water from a broken bath pan not from a toilet. Thank you for Taylor construction for a not so pleasant Job.

VERY DISAPPOINTED ! We gave Taylor Construction $500.00 up front in order to hold a 10% discount on a walk in tub project. Thinking we could get a refund before the project began, we decided to go to their showroom to see a walk in tub. The tub was not at all what we wanted. We requested a refund and were told that cancellation had to be within 3 days of giving them our check. That was not made clear to us at the time we gave them our check. We are retired and on a tight fixed income. $500.00 is a lot for us to lose. We will never do business with Taylor Construction again.

Horrible. The trim is not the same color as the windows but when I pointed that out to the installers, he said that a different company made the trim. I called my salesman, Andy Taylor, and sent him pictures, and he said it could be painted and suggested I hire the installer to do so. And pay for it. In his sales pitch, he said they would fix the color if I didn't like it; he didn't mention I would have to pay for it. Two of the windows were improperly installed and the installer had to come back; it took five minutes to fix both. The caulk on two windows was messily done; it looks like a small mountain range on top of the window and can be seen from the street. The installed over-explained why they had to use so much caulk, ignoring that my concern was how awful it looked. Andy Taylor said he would "see about" doing something and then never called me back. I then left a message for the manager, Joe Mazur, and sent three messages through their online system and received no response. I had another contractor come to give an estimate on fixing their mess and he discovered that the trim couldn't be removed because the windows were an inch from my old trim! There was also a lot of carelessness in their cleanup--two walls had to be repainted and I can't find pieces to my blinds so I can't rehang them. All around, this has been an incredibly frustrating experience.

Work was not completed to contract.Bought best gutter system,of which they say they are only ones in area allowed to install, and fascia board was never replaced and gutters have leaked from day one both over themselves and behind the gutter itself.Have received follow up calls but seems no-one cares enough to fix a disabled persons poor quality gutter installation. For the money to upgrade to their best lifetime system would think it would make it thru the first rain or be repaired like they say they will do.There are several bad gutter reviews here and wish Id looked before hiring them.Worst part was it was a family member who came and sold me on the work, only to find out even he has left the company after my job was botched,so now no one cares about it.Would highly recommend not using them and looking elsewhere for gutters.

I had my service done 2 years ago the windows were great and saved me money on monthly energy bills. This year I felt a draft and I called them up and said your windows are draft. Brett my sales person from 2 years ago who I called on his cellphone said I think your windows are just opened I will walk you through it over the phone. I couldn’t get it. He said I will be there in 45 minutes. He was here in 35 minutes and even let me do a video so that I could show my cleaning people so that we wouldn’t have this issue again when they go to clean the windows. Thanks Brett! I would suggest Taylor construction and Brett to anyone!

DO NOT BUY THEIR GUTTERS. We were GUARANTEED that if we bought their high end, clog free gutters that if they were to EVER get clogged, which they said should never happen, they would come and fix the problem ASAP. Well they clogged, and it has been over 6 months of my husband and myself contacting Taylor Construction nearly everyday to get them unclogged! Still waiting for that promised call back. Do not waste thousands of dollars on their faulty product, because they will never make it right!!!

I have been trying to work with them for a whole year to stop my gutters from leaking. Finally I threaten them with the Better Business Bureau. I had them call them and they got out here last week. They kept blaming Dr Roof. Well Dr Roof wasn't gonna come back out. Taylor Construction Co. was out here 3 times last week. The older man did good work but the younger man didn't do anything. They left a fourth of it undone. I called them and told them if they wasn't out by the next day I would stop payment on the check. The manager came out and told me I was crazy and I couldn't remember from one day to the next. The problem is they don't want to come out and do the job. The gutters still leak. They said they didn't know how to fix it. They sent out another young guy to try and fix it. He did the best he could. He was a nice young man. It seemed like he was the only one that cared. I am not sure if its fixed or not now.

They're just a mess. I have a phone, I'm 80 years old. I said, "Be careful with that, don't cut my phone, it's in the garage." They had already done it, but they never did repair it. What they were doing to me was, I would call them and ask them to come out and check and see what the problem was. They sent two men out. They told me, in this contract, that they would change my gutters whenever they needed them, if they were out here working and I needed them. There was one in front and it was mashed flat. I said, "Be sure, don't you forget this downspout." I said, "It has to be repaired," and he said, "Oh no," I said, "You've got a whole box of these out there, put me a new one in." He said, "Oh no, we've got to turn those back in to make points, we can't fix it." I said, "Well, h*ll, I'll go to Home Depot and get a new one." I said, "It has to be changed." They were just rotten to the d*mn core. I would call them and if they call me back at all, they would make appointments three weeks ahead of time, then they wouldn't show up. But the last time, I said, "If you don't show up, I'm going to find out why." I have counted five different supervisors in eight months. So that's the problem. I said, "You're changing supervisor like you change your underwear, everyday." I am not happy with them at all. I think I've paid them enough, they ought to do me a better job. They sent young boys. This one boy's girl friend came about three o'clock. Well, he wasn't worth a dime after that. Every time he would come off the ladder, he would run out there and stand, stand and stand. I didn't know who it was or why it was out there, but I noticed he spent all the time. He came in and he said, "Well we're finished, we're going." I didn't go outside, I got the check book and wrote him a check for it. And then when I went out, to get the mail, he hadn't even finished the back deck. There were two sides there that weren't finished. So I called up there and I said, "You have somebody out here by seven o'clock in the morning to finish this job or I'm going to stop payment on the check." The owner called me up and talked rotten to me. He said if I stopped payment on the check he would sue me. I said, "Go ahead." I said, "I don't think you'll win. You made the mistake, I didn't." But they did come out and fix it that morning, but its leaking.

Salesman was thorough and very professional and provided my wife and I with an abundance of relevant information about the current condition of our gutters and soffits. He inspected our home and video taped critical areas and discussed the process that Taylor uses to ensure that we would get the beat Customer service installation and warranty . He gave an excellent presentation on the company and showed how the installation process would work. The installers were on time and worked diligently to Colette the job. The original estimate given by the salesman turned out to include services and products that the company did not normally provide. This resulted in confusion on the part of the company in relation to the needed materials to complete the job and a significant delay in completion of the project. Additionally, aspects of the remodel were misrepresented by the salesman and consequently, once completed, did not meet our expectations, but did meet the letter of the contract. Examples of this include a shower seat that was originally described to us as a bench type seat, but was marked in the contract and subsequently installed as a corner seat. Another was the installation of the handicap assistance bars. No though was used in the placement of one of the bars and consequently it partially blocks the meager corner seat that was installed, rendering it virtually useless.
The workmanship itself was top notch. As far as the Taylor workers themselves, they were very professional, communicative, and efficient in completing their tasks. However, the subcontractors Taylor chose to use to complete the aspects of the job that were outside their normal services, were at unreliable and unprofessional. I expected more of Taylor in that respect.

When I purchased the "clog-free" gutter system several years ago, I was told that I would never have to "unclog" the gutter again. About a year or two after the gutter system was installed, it needed to be unclogged. Taylor Construction sent out a technician and cleared the whole gutter -- as promised when I purchased the system. They did an excellent job.
That was then ... this is now.
Within the last two weeks I contacted Taylor and asked for them to send out another technician to clear my gutters. When this technician arrived, he cleared portions of the gutter that were the most clogged. Then he informed me that I was required to clean under the "lip" of the gutter. Further, cleaning under the lip of the gutter was my responsibility and if I kept the "lip" cleaned out, the gutter would not clog. When I explained that the reason that I purchased their "no-clog" gutter system was because I was too old to climb a ladder and I had been told by the sales team that I would never have to clean my gutter again. The technician confirmed that that was what the salesman often promised, but that was inaccurate. It was my responsibility to clear the lip of the gutter ... either hire someone to do it, or climb the ladder myself.

After the sales, there were numerous ordering issues. When the windows arrived, they were the wrong color and style. Calls to the Company were mostly ignored. At one point, out of frustration I drove to their company address to appear in person since they would not return my calls. We had to reorder and again received wrong styled windows, although we had given specifically detailed description of how the windows were to appear. We had also ordered storm doors and these came in the wrong color and style. No one would take specific blame for the errors and would accuse another department for the problems. After three and a half months of headaches the project was finally completed. I had no problems with the installers, they did fine job. I see this company soliciting each year at the Virginia-Highlands Summer-fest and I warn people not to be drawn into their solicitations; their follow-up, quality control and professionalism are poor.

Company sent very good salesman, but after that I struggled with the crew, and then the salesman who did not have the crews phone number to call, so he told me to communicate my issues with the crew manager at Taylor Construction, what? Why could he as a salesman be proactive and take care of speaking with the head crew manager, isn't that a part of sales? The main crew member had to wait at the hospital to pick up his helper, so he told me, but delayed arrival and no communication after a specific time period had past. The one main crew member stayed at my home until 9:00 p.m. at night on a Friday to try and finish the job, but then it got too dark for him to finish by himself. Before the main crew member arrived, two other crew members, who were very unproffesional and told me they had to hurry up on my job, because they had another one to go to, rushed like crazy to finish!! So they slammed and bammed to get my old gutter off of the house. They seemingly beat all over my fascia boards. Now the head crew member wants to come on a Saturday, (today), with short notice of a call just now on a Saturday. Run away from this company, very unprofessional. The company came up with all kinds of excuses for not coming on time, they just wanted my money. I asked them not to rush my job. The salesman actually told me that he had done everything he could to make us happy with the work. He told me that he had no control over the crew members or the work. I guess he could not make phone calls daily to ensure operations were running smoothly after the first incident I had with the company. I am a disabled veteran struggling already and it feels as if they want to walk all over people like me. The one crew member smoked around my home and even put his cigarette out on my porch post. They really did not want me there to watch. I asked them to be careful to not damage my new roof, but the gentleman did not listen and continued to scatch off granules and put divits into my brand new roof, when there was no need to put a ladder on the roof in the fashion he did. All he had to do is use a ladder on the vinyl siding to get to the gutter systems removed. Please do not make the mistake I did in hiring this company, they wasted my entire time on Friday, wanted to waste my Saturday so they could rush to finish the job as the head crew guy said he had to go to his brothers funeral on Saturday, (today). I guess it was a short funeral, because today on Saturday he wants to finish. So lets get this straight, the first day one crew member came to put on a house full of gutters and quickly stated to me that his team member could not help him today, because he was in the hospital with COPD, so he would have to come back on Friday, even though the job was to be completed on Thursday. The company has been in business for 40 years and then on Friday the crew was to be here between 9:00 a,m. and 11:00 a.m. I had to wait on the head crew member to pick his buddy up from the hospital all day on Friday while he let me know that he was picking his buddy up from the hospital at around 10:00 a.m. and stated to me that he would be coming within an hour. Unfortunately, he did not arrive even three hours later. So now I am in limbo, where I could do something else with my day on Friday I impatiently waited for this company to finish the job, as I have other things to do, which does not include solving problems for Taylor Construction. I wished they would have just rescheduled for the following week. After multiple calls on Friday to the sales guy and to the corporate office they finally send the two crew members who arrive around 4:30 as previously stated above. These guys were very unproffesional and told me they had to hurry up on my job, because they had another one to go to. I even tried to ask a couple of polite questions about the installation of the gutters, but I either got ignored, or I get a simple yes or no! Mind you, I am the one spending money and giving them a job so they may feed, cloth, pay bills, etc. etc. I felt as if they were upset with me, because I had ruined their schedule in some form or fashion. So they slammed and bammed to get my old gutter off of the house by ripping aggressively as seemingly not caring about my fascia, drip edge, soffit, or vinyl siding. They rushed so fast that they even destroyed their own large measuring device as they tried to get measurements to place the new gutter on the side of our home. So know they only had a 30 foot measuring tape to take measurements instead of a very, very long cloth measuring tool. I then actually had to give the sales guy the phone number to the main crew man as he did not even have it, isn't that ridiculous by this time in the day? I wanted to know if he was still on his way. I even recommended that they come back next week, but the salesman seemingly stated to me that he had no way of reaching the crew member, so even if he was on his way, he could not stop him from coming. The saleman gets ahold of the crew member, where the crew member did not return my phone call on one or two occasions. Finally, the crew member arrives at 5:30 ish after staying at the hospital all day to pick up his friend who helps with gutter installation. Unfortunately his friend was not out of the hospital yet. I am however thankful that the head crew member sent the unprofesional installer guys on down the road, because as soon as the extremely long gutter was being mounted with the two unprofessional and rude crew members, they actually began screwing the gutter onto my roof without even measuring for proper down flow of water. The main crew member with the big truck for creating the gutters began to finish the job by himself, mind you, he had a shirt that said he was from Taylor Construction and a truck that did as well, while the other two crew members came without any proof that they were a part of the Taylor Construction company, nothing on the side of their beaten up truck or shirts. They could have been robbers coming to mug me for all I knew. By the time the first two crew member left it was 7:30 ish, and now the head crew member was on his own for the next hour and half, while I sat there upset about the situation and really worried about a rush job being done and completed by 9:30 ish at night. It finally got so dark that the head crew man could not finish, so he told me that he would come Monday, because he had to go to his brothers funeral on Saturday. That brings me to the current day of Satuday. I never got another call from the salesman who seemed very short with me as soon as he thought our conversations were over. However, as you know I did get a call from the head crew member magically being able to install my gutters today on a Saturday with very, very, short notice and not a care in the world that my time is as valuable as theirs. Now they want to hurry up and do the job on my time, while I had to wait for them to get straightened out on both my time and their time. Sorry, my family does have a life and we wanted to do something on the weekend, that is why we scheduled installation for Thursday originally, which did not get completed. I wanted to take my family out for dinner Friday evening as well, but instead I had to sit on my walker in pain until 9:00 p.m. at least, because I wanted to ensure the job was done correctly. I never got another call from the sales guy (today) on Saturday before the installer called me to try and complete the job. He could have called and asked if the job was complete, cleaned up, and neat, or he should have known about the issues and informed me as to what the next step was. I have no idea of what time they may come next as of right now. He could have said so sorry that you and your family have had to sacrifice your valuable time, because we were not properly prepared for installing your gutters. I would be upset as a salesman if operations had treated my customers in this fashion, and I would have done everything in my power to ensure proper communication and follow through was done!! I much rather would have preferred them res

The manager, Steve Michaels, was very helpful. He came out several times and answered all questions that I had. He taught me about what all would go on throughout the replacement. He came back out after the work was completed to check it. I did have some questions about a couple of areas and he took a look at those. They were very professional and helpful. When the crew came out to do the work, I asked them to make sure they went over the area with a magnet to make sure all nails were picked up. I was quite pleased with them.

They were very good and professional. They did the job in one day; so they were in and out. I felt things were a little rushed, but I had to go back out and make sure I was watching what they were doing. So I felt it was the right value, but then the windows were actually pretty expensive for what I was getting. The installation was fine and windows are doing what they're supposed to do. So it's fine. They were fine as well, and the salesmen come down and they bring all their hi-tech little gadgets and gizmos and stuff. So people kind of have to look beyond that to see if that's really the value that they are looking for, for their budget. I haven't had to call them back for anything; so far they've seemed to be good.
