DO NOT BE FOOLED or DECEIVED BY THE NICETIES! Honesty and integrity do not exist with Robert. We hired Robert to do tree work and lay sod for our backyard. He and his team showed up on 7/16/21, completed the tree service, damaged our retaining wall with their machinery, and tried to tell me it was old, and that they could replace it for a cost. Upon tree service payment, he then asked for an additional $1000 for the sod project, he asked for more, but at the time, $800 was all the extra we had since our pup is currently in Chemo for Lymphoma, which Robert knew. Thank God that's all the additional he was given! The plan was to lay the sod the following week. Robert then became MIA and made 1000 excuses for 15 weeks. I advised him on 9/7/21 that we couldn't wait any longer. We requested a refund and hired another company. Since that point, Robert has provided more excuses, 9/7/21 "I will send you back the difference," 9/29/21 Sorry, forgot I'll have the office lady do it. I'm in the field. To date, no refund. Sometimes it's not so much the money, but there's integrity and trustworthiness. Situations like these sour customers and make it difficult for future contractors. It tells you all you need to know about a business if they can't refund $800 owed to the customer. How can anyone trust their work ethic and, for that matter, trust them on your property... I would never recommend Storm Safe. Think twice before trusting Robert

My experience with Storm Safe turned out to be one of the most surprising, satisfying, and pleasant turn of events I've ever enjoyed with a contractor.  I initially obtained three price quotes from three providers ($1,300 - 1,400 from one; $1,000 minus $250.00 coupon with a second; and $900.00 minus 20% discount with Storn Safe).  Storm Safe's final price of $720.00 was the cheapest, but the most expensive provider stated that the work couldn't be done safely without risk of damage to my house without using a crane to assist.  I expressed my concerns regarding this issue with Storm Safe when I awarded them the work and Robert Byrd assured me that upon arrival at the jobsite if their tree climber had any misgivings about their capability that Storm Safe would not attempt the work.  They arrived prior to 8:00am and quickly decided that the work could be accomplished as originally proposed at the quoted price.  The crew consisted of a foreman and four workers, one of which was the tree climber.  Over the course of the next several hours the tree climber climbed two different trees and strategically attached ropes to each limb before it was cut off from the trunk of the large oak tree.  When the limbs were actually cut off not one single trig or branch from the large limbs ever touched any part of the house.  It was truly amazing...incredible even.  At least 70% of the largest limb (which was estimated to weigh approximately 2,000 lbs.) was hanging over the roof of the house and only three feet above the chimney cap.  When that limb was cut the three workers on the ground had the attached ropes wrapped around other trees in the yard to use for leverage and they slowly and safely swung the detached limb away from the chimney cap and roof and lowered it to the ground without ever touching the house in any way.  It really was like an invisible hand was holding onto each limb as it was cut and slowly lowered to the ground without striking anything.  Needless to say my fears were quickly allayed and the work was done without a hitch of any kind.  Also all of the limbs were chipped up into a large holding truck; the small twigs and branches picked up throughout the yard where they fell; and then the entire area where any debris fell was raked meticulously and left cleaner than before they arrived.  I couldn't have been more pleased.  Storm Safe did an excellent job as described at the price quoted.  I am one happy customer and would highly recommend anyone needing tree service work performed to give Storm Safe an opportunity to demonstrat their talents.
