Speedy Electric

Hires to install can lights. The guy tossed loose wires in after cutting a ton of arbitrary holes (beyond normal reasonable cuts to run cable) then told me putting the lights in would be another $40 per light. Oh and the light switch (which was already there) was another $125 to attach the lights to ? This company is a joke. Avoid at all costs.

The electrician was supposed to come between 11-1.  I received a call saying he would be late and he finally arrived at 3:15. After evaluation, the electrician said the job would be a level 1 job which would result in something around $250.  At 6:30 he was ready to leave even though he did not complete the job as the stove hood was still not properly grounded.  He said he had been there 4.5 hours but it was really 3.25 hours and now the job was a level 4 but he would only charge for a level 3 job which would now be $703.
While speaking with the office, they would not budge on their fee even though $250 was quoted and $703 was billed.  They even said he was working after hours until 6:30 even though he was supposed to arrive between 11-1.  They threatened to file a lien on the house with triple damages if $703 was not paid immediately.  
I finally spoke with the owner who did not care that $250 had been quoted.  Finally he agreed to reduce the price to $600 which I paid.
I am not happy with the treatment of Speedy Electric and would never recommend them.
