About us
Southern Sprinkler Systems has been actively involved in the irrigation and green industries as well as the local community for years. Our company began in 1999 but has been involved in the irrigation business since the late 1970s. We are not the biggest, but we are the best and plan to be around for a long time! We are a full service lawn irrigation company, and our expert services include lawn sprinkler design, installation, maintenance, repairs/upgrades, water audits and consulting for residential and commercial customers.

Southern Sprinkler Systems scheduled a visit immediately for the next day.
It was a very considerate and helpful visit with the owner going out of the way to explain the system and putting it thru a few test runs to be sure I understand how to operate it. I'm more confident of my ability to handle it now, thanks to her patience.
The company did not charge me for the visit....they did it as a courtesy follow-up to the spring start-up visit a few weeks ago.
The owners have always been especially kind and always followed up immediately on any request. Their work is thorough and the charges are very reasonable.
I would highly recommend them to anyone. They are indeed my favorite Angie's List contractor/vendor.

Don't forget to make sure you have your credit card ready for them to swipe. The provide an estimate, hand written, then you have to ask for a proper estimate that it legible because you can't read the scribbled handwriting.
The original estimate (not including the assessment fee) was $490. Once the work was complete is was $970. Once again I asked for a proper, legible estimate, line itemization for each of the charges. This was for a job on a home we sold and committed to the new homeowners we would have it fixed. Southern Sprinklers then provided OUR invoice to the new home owner.
Mrs. Klaas, owner, demanded a credit card payment before the work was even done, was rude and most unprofessional. I asked Ms Klaas if I could confirm from the owners that the job was completed to their satisfaction before I submitted payment in order not to have any additional problems or issues come up. I received several rude emails from her on how disappointed she was that I did not provide the credit card information as I said and that my dealings with the new homeowners was not their problem. This is accurate. However, I wanted to make sure other issues would not surface after we paid the invoice.
My advice, shop around and find someone who is not so money grubbing hungry that they foget what customer service is. Would never recommend to anyone needing irrigation work.
"[Member Name Removed], your referral is so full of inaccuracies and blatant falsifications that it isn't worth the effort to respond to each falsehood. Evidently you were under stress from moving and chose to take it out on us. Your system was struck by lightning and was so damaged that most companies wouldn't have even attempted a repair. You even contracted a plumber in advance to cap off your irrigation main line, a repair we had to redo. Most companies would have started over and it would have cost significantly more. The new homeowner is now an excellent and satisfied customer, something that you never were or ever would have been with us or any other irrigation contractor. He is thrilled with our service and we are thrilled to have an amicable and mutually beneficial customer/contractor relationship. How refreshing! Finally, people often complain about poor contractors. While that is certainly the case far too often, it is not the case with us. However, there are also cases of really bad customers and you fit the bill. Just sayin'!"

They are really good about seeing if you need the system started up. They do everything by email and are very professional.
