"Thank you for posting the great review. The kitchen we started with, was probably 50 years old, and have never been updated. It was transformed into a beautiful white shaker space. Materials used included all maple doors, drawer fronts, panels and trim. She also had us replace all the drawers with soft close dovetailed boxes, and had us add 18" of extension cabinets onto one end of the island. On one side of the island we put a dual trash/recycling pull out, and on the other side of the extension is a wine rack and bookshelf for cookbooks."
"Thanks for posting the review. We have learned a lot in the approximately 300 kitchen jobs we've done. In many cases, we can offer some good advice about options and trade offs in the various choices. In this kitchen project, in addition to the refacing, we custom built a new sink cabinet to replace the old damaged one. People sometimes wonder why we use custom built cabinets when we need new cabinets in a refacing project. The answer is that way, we send the unfinished new cabinet to the paint shop along with the doors and all the other materials for the refacing project so everything matches. A lot of our refacing projects involve some new cabinetry such as replacing a desk with a pantry or adding onto an island."
"We like total satisfaction! Thanks for the great review."
"This was a larger job to reface from Builder White to stained Maple. In addition to refacing the kitchen the customer had us reface the vanities in their large master bath. Besides the refacing, their were about 20 drawers they needed to replace. Usually drawer replacement is just a nice to have option, but not with this job. The builder cabinet drawer boxes were constructed in such a way that the old drawer fronts were part of the actual drawer instead of a separate removable piece. When we replace drawers we custom build them with dovetail corner joinery and mount them on Blum BluMotion soft close full extension glides. They are the best available and made in the USA."
"Customers needed to replace a lot of low quality doors which had split and were all showing some sort of related issues. We did a complete refacing job using 3/4" solid Maple paint grade doors, drawer fronts and door style decorative panels. All wood items including maple trim and moldings, were finished in a white 10 year warranty conversion varnish. One difference in our standard process from what most refacing companies offer is when we reface the cabinet boxes themselves, we use 1/4" thick milled Maple pieces we have cut from maple lumber on the cabinet face frames. This is a superior option to using thin wood laminates for aesthetic and practical reasons. It will never check, crack, or start to peel. We bond the milled maple onto the cabinet face frames with Low VOC construction adhesive and it is a permanent bond. We offer other lower cost options to cover cabinet face frames, but using the milled Maple facings is the superior way to do a refacing job."
