I truly enjoyed working with The Curtin Team, especially Kanani Briggs, during the sale of my home. They were very supportive throughout the entire process. Kanani guided me through every step of the sale process from staging the home, providing names of local resources for repairs, to the negotiation process. It was seamless, and living in another state I really appreciated that. She also did a lot of research and provided constant communication regarding the home market value, the changing housing market, and kept me informed of interested buyers. She was there for most of the showings and her team was just as professional when she wasn’t able to make it. I had an amazing experience working with Kanani and The Curtin Team. I would absolutely recommend and use them again in the future.

Kanani Briggs far exceeded our highest expectations! Our family was in a position of potentially relocating to the Atlanta area. We came across the Curtin Team while researching top Georgia realtors. We were perfectly paired with Kanani. Having gone through a similar move herself, Kanani immediately understood and related to our family’s situation. Her personal experience was very instrumental to understanding all our concerns from the very beginning. Before our in-person visit, we spoke at length over the phone. Kanani asked all the right questions to gain insight into our current family home, accustomed lifestyle, and what we were hoping to achieve in Atlanta. A few days later, Kanani spent the weekend showing us beautiful Atlanta neighborhoods, houses, schools, restaurants, shopping, and parks. Kanani’s knowledge on the neighborhoods and the schools was extremely helpful in narrowing our search. This really helped ease our concerns about relocating with young kids and allowed us to envision our family living in and loving Atlanta. Working with the Curtin Team was a breeze. At first Tom offered information and resources for potentially keeping our home as a rental. When we decided to sell, Christy came to our home and did a quick walk through when it was convenient for us. I had total confidence in her. We went out of town and she handled all the showings. We were under contract in the first week with multiple offers. Excellent communication from Jess in the office. From listing to closing, they handled everything. Tracy is an amazing realtor! By the time you finish buying/selling, you will think of her as much more than your agent. She becomes one of the best friends you could ever find! If you want someone who will go above and beyond the call duty, then Tracy is the realtor for you! She helped us sell our mother’s home for more than we expected, especially in the current economy. She and her team do a fabulous job marketing your home. Tracy knows everyone in the Blue Ridge area so she was constantly putting the word out about our listing. We do not live in the Blue Ridge area so Tracy would always be willing to help us take care of anything that came up that we couldn’t be there to do ourselves. She would either help us find someone or even go by there and take care of things herself. Without us ever asking, she would be changing out light bulbs to keep things nice and bright or sweeping the floors and wiping the counters to make sure everything looked tidy before a viewing. She truly thinks of every little detail and makes everything extra special. Our closing went very smoothly. Tracy and her support staff were with us at every step of the way! We met with Tracy Krohn in April to search for our perfect North Georgia cabin. Tracy was extremely responsive as we were working through choices and narrowing down what we wanted to spend our time looking at. We came from out of town and she spend her whole weekend with us. Kanani is simply God-sent and truly an amazing person. From our initial encounter, seeking a rental unit in the Alpharetta, Georgia area, to completely caring for my most precious assets (my parents) transition to Georgia from Michigan, to my fiancé and I purchasing our home, Kanani was present, transparent and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. Toward the end of November, we suddenly realized we needed to sell our home quickly, before year's end! I met Joann nearly 20 years ago and she has kept in touch with me all those years. I knew she had a strong team, so I assumed they took a higher commission, but i also knew they'd be who we needed to use if we had any chance of selling before new years eve. Come to find out, their above and beyond service would be no more out of our pocket than any other realestate agent charges. The week after Thanksgiving, I met with Kanani for a walk through of the house. There were some rough edges to our situation, so I didn't have much hope. Kanani asked me what I needed from her and I responded, "Tell me what to do." Anyone who knows me, knows that handing control over to someone else is not something I do quickly. Being aware of the stellar reputation of The Curtin Team & observing the calm, level -headed poise Kanani exudes, I was able to delegate this chore to her with confidence. That very evening, Kanani called me with a doable offer from an investor! We were under contract in less than 24 hours and we closed on the sale on December 29th. We have something huge to celebrate this new year's eve- "I've got 99 problems but that house ain't one!" ; -)

Buying a home can be a long painful process or it can be a pleasant experience. It all depends on who your real estate agent is. We had a great home buying experience and we attribute that to Melinda. Thanks a ton for helping us own our first out-of-state investment property in an extremely competitive greater Atlanta Metro area. We are incredibly grateful to you. Since the beginning, Melinda set up multiple calls even during these COVID times. She was extremely patient and understanding to answer all our questions and concerns and gave us appropriate guidance. She took the time to carefully review all the houses we sent and give feedback on why the property works or doesn't work for our needs and helped us understand home values and factors impacting it. She was available throughout the process at all times. She scheduled visits keeping the COVID situation in mind. She made sure all the necessary precautions were taken at each visit. She was always helpful in guiding us throughout the experience. Moreover, Melinda is extremely knowledgeable about the technical aspects. Once we finalized the house and wanted to go ahead, she was extremely proactive in offers and negotiations. Melinda helped get us inspection reports and took time to schedule a call to explain every page of the report patiently. During the entire closing process, she is on her heels and been in constant contact with the seller’s agent, loan agent and pushed all of them to get to the closing quickly and smoothly, while updating us at every single step. Melinda also have extensive contacts with loan agents, contractors and insurance agents and she used them effectively at every stage of our home buying process. We are extremely happy with Melinda and definitely will share our experience with all our friends. We will surely recommend Melinda to anyone thinking about a home purchase because she is incredibly efficient and knowledgeable agent. She is an excellent agent and very passionate about what she does and loves to help people from the bottom of her heart. Thank you for everything, Melinda. Our family had been renting in Alpharetta for a few years so our son could attend a specific high school. Being he is close to graduating we wanted to begin looking but had some nuances which felt confusing, as to which footprint we wanted to live in for the next 10-15 years. It was also tricky timing with our rental lease. I did some looking online, found a home we wanted to see and Kanani Briggs contacted me on the phone. She listened and asked great questions. Throughout the search process, we learned she to be the most patient, giving, smart, creative, courteous, cheerful, responsive, and hard working realtor. She urged us to see a home that the Curtin Team had as the selling realtor, Christy who is also amazing at her role, and it was not yet on the market. We went to see it and made an offer that day. We were relocating from Chicago to Atlanta so we knew this wasn't going to be an easy process. Joanne set us up with Kanani who exceeded every expectation we had and then some. She went on many virtual tours with us since getting a quick flight down wasn't always an option. She was super responsive and eventually helped us get into the home we had been looking for. Over our lives, my wife and I have bought and sold over 20 homes (mainly due to relocations with Coca-Cola and Starbucks). We have never had such a disappointing and frustrating real estate agent relationship in our lives than with Joanne Curtin. She is a wonderful personality and a great sales person....of herself. She provided a significantly higher estimate on the value of our home than most (but not all) of the other brokers we interviewed. She claimed to have very strong marketing focus and skills...especially in digital marketing. But it became clear after only a few weeks that Joanne Curtin was exceptionally focused on securing our listing...NOT so much in working hard to sell it. We completely understand that the listing agent rarely also personally finds the buyer so that was never our expectation. Our expectation was that she do more than delegate virtually everything to her "team" (such that we were basically not dealing with her after the contract was signed) and hope for the best. She told us that open houses were a waste of time (basically she meant a waste of HER time) so we sat patiently for a few months. Then my wife noticed that Joann Curtin's real estate page on Facebook (whom she was following) was regularly conducting open houses and other special enticements to brokers/buyers. When we asked why we were not receiving the same focus and marketing there was literally no answer. After having to bring this up using several examples she finally (and oh so "cool-ly" agreed to do an open house. Even that did not receive the same "high end" treatment and exposure that several other clients were receiving. Apparently if she sees a home value of $1MM or so, that rates special attention (whereas a home at "only" $750k nearby gets basic attention). There are far too many specific examples of poor engagement/commitment/effectiveness to detail here but clearly we would never use her again and have told friends to steer clear. Oh, the agent who took over after Joann Curtin failed to sell our home sold it....TWICE (the first buyer had to back out because he lost his job). We would strongly suggest anyone looking for a GREAT agent contact Harrah Brown at Sotheby's (770-604-1000). Harrah was the ANTITHESIS of Joanne Curtin...she took a very personal interest in our home, our situation and she worked TIRELESSLY to sell our home for a great price. Unlike Joanne Curtin, Harrah Brown personally marketed our home and went the extra mile with other agents (with whom she has many relationships). She actually did end up finding our buyers herself...because she was determined to help us succeed. We have been Angie's List members for nearly 20 years and have never provided a negative rating. We do not expect perfection and we always try to put ourselves in the position of those we work with before providing a review. This was a truly exceptionally bad experience. Thankfully the Lord sent us Harrah Brown (and no we did not know her before she came to sell our house).

We seek to educate our clients on what's happening in the market and how to maximize their real estate asset. Joanne engaged our Home Stylist to help you maximize the return on your home. Our records indicate that you recognized your current decor was not going to bring maximum returns and you had a lot of cleaning out to do and you did not make all the recommended improvements to increase the value. I'm glad Hannah was able to list your home. Your home sold over a year after we had it listed, after you moved out and it was vacant. The Curtin Team's Design service was excellent, and was proactive in supervising the multiple contractors needed to finish the project. We were surprised, for example, when problems identified by the Designer were corrected before we even knew they happened. It is no exaggeration to say that the project would not have been a success without the direct involvement of the Curtin Team of Keller Williams.

Joanne and her team are awesome! We were having a hard time selling our condo and when we switched to Joanne, they sold it before we even re-listed. Not only did they sell our condo but they were so friendly and professional throughout the whole process.
