If your car was involved in an accident, it's either repairable or totalled. We are an independent auto appraisal company serving the Metro Atlanta Area. We specialize in Total loss and Diminished Value appraisals 1- Total Loss: The insurance company will be giving you a Actual Cash Value offer, sometimes it's fair but most times it's not. Don't leave money on the table by accepting an Insurance company settlement offer before receiving our free estimate. 2- Diminished Value If the vehicle is repairable, then it inherently loses resale value as wrecked and repaired vehicles command less money than their undamaged counterparts. Your fault or not, in Georgia you're entitled to diminished value, no lawyer needed. They did an estimate and gave me a demand letter to send to the insurance company. I able to to get about 60% of the estimate from the insurance company.

I submitted my request for the diminished value with the repair estimate of my vehicle online. I received a phone call regarding the dollar amount of the DV. However, upon paying for the report, following the instructions to send demand letter and such to the insurance company certified, return receipts, I received a phone call from the insurance company. They asked if the repairs had been completed to my vehicle yet, which they hadn't. He explained to me that they cannot pay for the diminished value without the repairs being completed. Now, why didn't Diminished Value of Georgia tell me that??????? What a waste of money!

They responded quickly, After I submitted damage estimates, they sent me their estimate of the diminished value. The insurance co. first offered $750. After I received the estimate from Diminished Value of GA, they agreed to $1200. Thanks

I had to personalized the demand letter with my name and address and the amount DVG indicated my diminished value was worth.
I submitted the documents by email to the insurer's insurance company. From the date I emailed the demand letter, they sent me a release form, and receiving the check at my home mail box was exactly five days.

No issues, no hassles, on either side of the processes.

I was thoroughly impressed with how quickly DVG provided the report and sample the demand letter. Most importantly how quickly I received a check to deposit.

DV of North Carolina did a great job. They gave me an explanation of how this process works before we entered into agreement and even reviewed the insurance company's appraisal to see if they thought it was fair and reasonable before asking me to sign anything. Their report was turned around in a few days via a few simple steps and the insurance company paid exactly what we countered with raising the total more than 35% higher than their 2nd offer.

Big thanks!

My 2006 Mazda3 was rear-ended by a distracted driver (on her cell phone) while I stopped at a red light. I was forced into the SUV stopped ahead of me hard enough to cause my driver's side airbag to deploy. My car had substantial damage in the front and rear and really should have been a total loss! It was worth approximately $10,500 at the time of the accident and it ultimately cost the at-fault driver's insurance company $9,600 to repair it. They also spent $800 on a rental car and, eventually, $2200 in Diminished Value.
After the repairs were completed, I received a check from the other driver's insurer for $179.07 for loss in value based on their calculation. I had already been researching Diminished Value while my car was being repaired and I knew that this check was less than 10% of what I was actually owed! That's when I contacted Diminished Value of Georgia and met with Tony for an inspection and appraisal so I could file a claim.
He determined that I my vehicle had suffered a loss in value of $2300 as a result of the accident and repairs. It took months of going back and forth with the insurance company and threatening to sue for that amount in Small Claims Court, but ultimately they paid. I also insisted that they reimburse me for the appraisal fee and the Carfax and AutoCheck reports I had purchased. They reluctantly did so.
The insurance company I was dealing with is notorious for fighting DV claims and paying less than the appraised amount when they actually do pay. But they couldn't refute the appraisal from DV of Georgia because it so thoroughly documented their procedure and calculations. Without it, I would have been lucky to see a penny more than the ridiculous $179 check they originally sent (which I sent back with my Demand Letter).
I am now an Independent Insurance Agent and I regularly refer my customers to Diminished Value of Georgia after an accident! I have also recommended them to other agents so they can do the same with their customers.
I wholeheartedly recommend them for anyone who has been in an accident with significant physical damage to their vehicle or even a total loss.
