Crown Realty & Management

We are renting a house from Crown. They had a contractor out to our
house the same day. It was fixed, including new carpet and wood floors,
by the weekend. I was told there were over 100 homes they manage that
had busted pipes and they got to all of them within 48 hours.
Not sure if this love affair will continue, but right now I am lovin' Crown!

They found us a renter, screened them and background checked them. The entire leasing process went fine. The renters have been in the house about 4 months now. Every month we have lost money for maintenance requests. Many of which could have been resolved without a service call. I have never actually spoken to the property manager. All contact is done by email. I understand they may need a paper trail, but professionalism sometimes requires a phone call. Once the renter was found the property manager assigned to my property emailed me, but never actually introduced herself just reported the basics. We have lost money every month on the property due to maintenance/service calls. If the cost is less than $200.00 they just fix it and bill us for the work regardless of the request and if we could have worked with the renter to repair something like a loose toliet paper holder. A screw driver would do the trick but no, a person went out to fix it and we paid for the repair. By the way the property is a house not an apartment. We decided to get a home warranty for the property since we can't seem to save enough money to cover any updates or repairs. We were told by Crown Realty and Management that home warranties are troublesome and so for every service call that has to go through the home warranty company we would be charged and additional $35.00 by Crown. We would also have to pay the home warranty service call fee. Sounds like to me Crown gets a kick back from their contractors and if the home owner uses and home warranty that cuts into their profit margins and they are going to get an extra fee out of us somehow. I have asked them to call us to report service requests and they will not call only send emails. We pay them 8% each month for their managment fee plus now paying outragious amounts for all the service calls. Like I said loosing money every month.  If we decide to rent the house again we will not be using this unprofessional company who is ripping us off.

The services did not go well; that is why we did not pay anything. We scrapped the contract. Their service was unprofessional, and they lack communication with the home owners. Our garage door got broken, and they are not even responding to us about getting it fixed. Their price was good, but at the same time, you get what you pay for.
