Atlanta Green Landscape

I responded to an Angie's list ad and prepaid $895 for landscape overhaul. The owner 'Diego' showed up for estimate and asked for additional pre-payment before starting work. I said I already pre-paid and I'll pay the rest at the completion. Diego told me he doesn't operate that way, he's no longer interested in the job, and I should ask Angie's for refund. When I called Angie's, I was told I should get refund from Diego instead. But Diego never would respond to my message. Then I repeatedly contacted Angie's again and I was always told that Angie's will research except they never refunded my pre-payment for a service they advertised but never delivered. They didn't even want to tell me if they ever reached out to Diego on my behalf. Extremely disappointed in Angie's!

Quick response time. The job was done in 2 days. Hugo responds quickly and his crew is very professional. They leave the site clean, too. (I wish I'd made a bigger patio!) This company is a credit to Angie's List.

The team turned my desolate backyard into a pleasant place, suitable for outdoor living. They arrived on time and finished the entire job quickly (from 9:30 am to 2pm). I was impressed! They did a really nice job too! I would definitely recommend Atlanta Green Landscaping.

Hugo responded to my inquiry immediately and came by the next day to discuss the work to be done. He and his crew showed up on time on the appointed day and got right to work. Not only did they do a great job they did more than we agreed upon! Really went above and beyond. Hugo was wonderful to work with, and I would not hesitate to call him again. I’m very pleased with the job.

They were scheduled to be here at 8 AM and showed up at 8:50 AM and ended up leaving at 11:50, so they were only here for 3 hours. There were 3 men that came, which should've given me about 8 labor hours of work from each of them, totaling 24 hours. I only received 9 labor hours total. They ended up doing the main thing I wanted, which was to remove the juniper plants, but they left stumps that were about 8-12" high. When I asked if they could remove the stumps, I was told that they'd need a stump grinder for that and that they weren't going to dig them up. They also just raked up the clippings and didn't prepare the ground as I had requested. They trimmed some shrubs after that and packed up and began to leave at 11:50. I challenged them about this saying that they had only completed 9 labor hours of work when I was entitled to 24 hours total and he refused to honor it. He was rude and demanding.

It went great. Hugo and his team showed up on time and did an outstanding job. I would highly recommend.

Hugo was very responsive and competitive in the estimate for our front yard renovation. His crew was professional and did a great job cleaning up once the job was complete. I will use them again on future projects.

Hugo and his team did an awesome job. I love my new retaining wall and the drainage issue we had was solved by the new drains. We had a weather issue (downpour) and Hugo had to come back to finish the job, which is did as soon as everything dried out. He was honest and genuinely wanted to make sure I was happy with the work. I highly recommend Hugo and his team.

Four people showed up, although the boss told me he would be leaving part way through the morning. My front yard was the focus of the project and they did a good job on it. They trimmed trees and a bush or two. There was a lot of standing around and looking at phones or talking. Five hours into the job, they stopped working altogether (only 15 hours worth). The three stayed in my backyard for another hour, doing nothing, waiting for the boss to come get them. When he returned, as they were packing up to go, I told him they were not done and that that hadn't been working for the last hour and there was still work to be done in my backyard. Some of the work in the back yard was poorly done and trimmings were left at the back of the yard. I told him I had paid for 24 hours of landscaping and outdoor projects, labor only, and I had only gotten 15 hours (plus the 3 1/2 he said he was there) so I was owed more work. He told me he used his own tools and gas and he was done with the hours worked. He said what they did was $1500 worth of work, which I got for $799. That is what I purchased, as described by the Angie's list offering. He said people expect a new house for the $799. I did not expect a new house, I expected 24 hours of solid work and I feel that I got about half that! I feel I have no recourse as I had already paid for the service and because of this I will probably never use Angie's list again!

Hugo is a good guy. He is fair, responsive, and is able to perform work very quickly unlike many of the big companies in the area. Like dealing with any landscaping service, it's important to be explicit as to what you're looking for -- we tried grass seed, which didnt work. Hugo was responsive, and immediately resolved the issue for us --- clearing the yard and starting from scratch. He then discounted the price of sod to reflect the seed which was lost -- again, very fair and understanding.
