We made an appointment to have them come out the next day. The deer was consumed by vultures before they arrived. I was able to cancel before they came out but I will definitely use them in the future. They are very friendly and quick to respond.

First of all, let me start by saying that I am an interior designer, and I am VERY picky when it comes to contractors. I would NEVER refer someone to a client that I haven't first used myself. With that being said...This is one of the most amazing companies that I have ever worked with. Ken Boone is the owner and he truly has a work ethic like no one that I have seen in a long time. I honestly don't think that the man sleeps!  We built our home over 20 years ago, and prior to hiring Ken we have had roof rat issues on several other occasions. Although we are in the City of Roswell, we are on 3 acres of land and unfortunately it comes with the territory. We have a cape cod style home with dormers, and we have these little attic areas off the dormers that are somewhat finished off (with plywood) that we use for storage. There is NOTHING worse as a woman....going into one of those areas to get something, and have something scurry across your path! Before Angie's List was born, I hired another company (with the bright yellow trucks), and they charged me $1500 to "seal" my home. I never saw them again. It wasn't 4 months after they completed their work, and I had critters coming in. I called them and called them, and they never stood behind anything that they did. Not to mention, at the time, their "headquarters" were literally around the corner from where I lived. (they could have walked here) But they took my money, and that was the end. So, when I hired Animals B Gone, I was a bit gun-shy....but I had the glowing reviews on Angie's List to back them up. However, when I met Ken I immediately knew that I had called the right company. He came out on a Saturday, and spend a tremendous amount of time going over my home(s) with a fine tooth comb. He even discovered that there was an area that is tucked in a valley in my roof that didn't have a soffit.....EVER!! He said that it was a REALLY difficult place to get to, and it was never put in, and that it was a perfect entrance point for anything wanting to get inside. He had taken a picture of it on his cell, and sure enough....I might as well been sending out engraved invitations for any critter looking for nice warm place to stay!!...and the other company never said a word about it, but "sealed" up my house and took my money. Ken also said that he could replace my chimney shroud, etc on my main chimney that had been hit from a tree in the tornado in June. He also noticed that all my chimney shrouds/ caps (I have 3 total) were short and allowing water to get between them and the siding, and he said that he could take care of all of them, and seal them up. SOLD!
I hired him to do it all. He and his crew arrived, and they worked all day, until long after dark, and then returned the following day to complete the job. I have never been as impressed with a company like I am this one. The work they did was stellar!  I was particularly impressed with their depth of knowledge and expertise repairing my chimney caps and flues. I don't think I could have hired anyone that would have performed a higher quality job. I had gotten bids from several other companies for the chimneys and Ken's bid blew them all away. Not to mention the other companies had insisted that I needed to replace all 3 chimney caps and shrouds, when Ken capped the other two to prevent water from coming in, and saved me a ton of money.
I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with the job that they did. His crew was polite, kind and respectful. I have called Ken about a couple of other issues (regarding him doing additional work for me), and he always gets right back to me. He may not always answer the phone, because I know that he is likely on someone's roof; but he always shoots me a text or calls me right back. If you are looking for exclusion work, gutters, chimney work....rest assured Ken will take care of you like he was taking care of his own home.

They did an excellent job throughout the process and were more than 40% cheaper than other contractors that we quoted. Ken also came back to clean up our attic as part of the service and did a great job with that as well.

Sean conducted the inspection. He was on time and very professional. The proposal included very detailed pictures and reasons for repairs. Sean did a walk around to explain the areas that needed the most attention. Sean and his crew were efficient and did a good job. One of the repair was not completed properly and Sean and his crew came back to fix it, no questions asked. Sean did the same work at our previous house and we were extremely satisfied as well. Highly recommend.

"Follow up" has been the main issue with Animals B Gone.
Upon initially contacting the company we set a date and time for them to come out and provide an estimate. This went well and because I liked what I heard I decided to hire them to perform the work without seeking further estimates.
And then I waited to hear back.
And I waited.
Ten days later I contacted them to find out what was going on. After receiving an explanation I decided to hire them to do the work, and a date for the work was agreed upon.
The crew worked on my house all day, performing the work previously agreed upon, and I paid via check. At time of payment we agreed that they would come back three days later to check the traps, as well as sending me a receipt for my payment via email.
It's been nine days and neither of these have occurred.
I'm tired of waiting for them to get back to me.
I've not gone to the attic to check the traps, and thankfully I also not heard any of the activity that I heard constantly prior to the work being performed.
Response from Animals B Gone
"My name is Ken Boone and I am the Operations Manager for our company. First let me say I very much appreciate your business and you taking the time to give us a review here on Angie's List. Since I am ultimately the one who is responsible for the quality of our exclusion work and our trapping programs, I was very disturbed by your comments. As you already know upon learning of the problems you had I investigated the matter fully. What I learned is that you are absolutely 100% correct, my team and I did in fact completely drop the ball where you were concerned. We did, as you said, fail to check your traps. It is very important to me that when we make a mistake as we did here in this case we publicly admit that mistake. Furthermore, I'd like to inform you and all of Angie's List members as to exactly what happened and where we went wrong. I will outline the events here as I discovered them. Please note that I am not in any way attempting to minimize our mistake nor make excuses because as I said earlier in this case we are 100% at fault and I will personally refund your money for the trapping program and send you a gift card to Longhorn Steak House as a token of my sincere apology. As it happened your tech Sean Caruso went on vacation the day after he performed the work at your home and set the traps. When he entered your job information into our system he entered the job incorrectly in the trapping category as "Customer Checking ." I was personally covering for Sean while he was gone and when I reviewed your file and saw "Customer Checking" I was not aware that the traps needed to be checked. What I am puzzled by is your comment that you said you contacted us and didn't receive a return phone call. Since I am the one who answers the phones for our company, I'm not sure exactly how this could have happened. Our phone system holds the last 100 phone messages before it purges the oldest message. I have gone through each of them and I am not showing a record or you having left us a message regarding the traps needing to be checked. Since Sean's business cell phone was forwarded to our main number in his absence, if you left a message for him personally I should have received it that is of course, assuming our phone system was working correctly as designed. Please note, I am not in any way disputing your claim, if you say you tried to contact us then I'm sure you did I just need to know exactly how so I can track down the error. I can tell you, that we are currently in our peak season and I am having to work in the field on a daily basis. I will admit, I'm not able to answer every phone call, as I am frequently with another customer and when that is the case I do allow the call to go to voice mail. But I pride myself in the fact that I return all phone calls as soon as I am free which is rarely in excess of 30 minutes. I would be grateful to you if you could give me more information in that regard and possible tell him exactly what number you called and if you left a message. It is very important to me that if we have a flaw in our system or if and when we forward a cell phone to our main number that the messages are not carrying through that I resolve the issue. This error on our part is very embarrassing to the company and to me personally needless to say, I do not want to encounter the same issue in the future. Again, I would like to extend my sincere apologies. My personal phone number is 770-757-1783 and my email address is [email protected], as you know the work we performed at your home comes with a Lifetime Guarantee, if in the future there is anything you need, please do not hesitate to contact me directly and I can ensure you there will not be any further issues. Again, thank you for allowing us to service you and I will be mailing the refund check and gift card to you within the next 5-7 business days."

We joined Angie's List just to make sure we were hiring the best company for this (disgusting) problem. Animals B Gone looked like the winner even before we called them. They returned our call immediately, visited that day, clearly explained the problem and solution and provided the quote while on site. We typically don't hire on the spot with only one quote, but rats and squirrels in your attic is not something you want to wait to address, so, since Animals B Gone/Dave was so professional, had a strong track record, gave us generous discounts and they provide a lifetime guarantee, we felt very comfortable hiring them. They booked us for 2 days later, showed up on time, worked hard all day, cleaned up thoroughly and we didn't hear another scratch again! They returned twice over the next week to inspect the pre-cautionary traps set in the attic...didn't catch a thing because those critters could not get into our house anymore! The "exit tunnels" were removed and final seals were installed, about a 20 minute process. For such an awful problem, Animals B Gone certainly made the solution as painless as possible. We highly recommend Dave and this company.

I called the company and my first appointment with David had to be postponed due to a truck breakdown.  David and his workers came the next day and went through the attic and checked the roof line to ensure that we were dealing with squirrels.  We scheduled a later appointment for David and his crew to come out to do the work.  On this visit, all of the work was outside, so I didn't need to be here for most of the day.  When I returned home from work, they were almost done.  David walked me through all that had been done and we made an appointment for a follow up to remove the tunnels.  I was impressed with how well they cleaned up and removed all debris.  They will return this week for the vacuuming and disinfectant in the attic and I shouldn't have to worry about squirrels again.  I now have a lifetime guarantee that if any squirrels return to my attic, they will come out and fix the problem and make any repairs.  I have been very happy with the service and David was great to work with!  While this wasn't an inexpensive endeavor, I feel that after off and on problems with squirrels in the attic over the years, it was worth it to get experts to tackle the situation.
Response from Animals B Gone
"Thank you for taking the time to review us. My apologies again about Dave missing the appointment due to the issues with his van. We have had that van in the shop 3 times in the last thirty days. Hopefully we now have the issue resolved completely, as it turned out a fuel line was being pinched and cutting off the gas flow, the problem was it was only happening when the weight shifted in the van, so the van would run fine and then die completely. We would have it towed and the dealer would test it and it would run fine because the towing shifted the weight off the fuel line that was pinched. Very strange issue. Yes, you do have a lifetime guarantee with us which means you can rest assured you are completely protected. Hopefully there will not be any new issues but as I am sure you know those squirrels are highly capable animals so IF there ever is an issue please do not hesitate to let us know. My name is Ken Boone and I am the Operations Manager, please feel free to contact me personally if you ever need anything 770-757-1783. It really would be my pleasure to serve you!"

This is one of the best companies I have ever hired.  They come to the door with their shoes off asking to look in the attic for the possible animals.  While we are up in the attic they are more concerned about my safety than anything else while I was showing them where the animals were.  They then did a complete roof inspection despite it raining outside.  The communication was amazing, they show up on time and the work was not only well done but they clean up everything.  They provided a discount for being a repeat customer.  You cannot go wrong hiring these guys.
Response from Animals B Gone
"Thank you [member name removed] for the kind words! We feel the same way about you! Unfortunately, not all customers are easy to work for, but you surely are! Remember, we have now sealed your entire home so there should not be an issue but if there is then rest assured you are covered. Everything really went smooth with the job. I know this is/was and unexpected expense but the good news is we caught and fixed a couple issues with the roof shingles that would have or could have caused some water issues. Those are now fixed and I went over the roofline very carefully personally after my guys finished not only checking their work but to ensure no other water issues. Thanks again, it really was a pleasure to work for you! If you ever need anything don't hesitate to call.."

I waited this long to leave a review to see if any animals had returned or managed to get back in. They have not. Over all this was one of the best experiences we have ever had with any type of home service provider. The sales person showed up on time, was very thorough and took his time inspecting the attic and around the house. All communication was quick and clear. After explaining the different issues we would run into with different animals, rats, squirrels, flying squirrels, etc..., he was sure we had flying squirrels. The following Sunday, yes Sunday, a crew of 6-8 showed up and went to work filling up any and all possible entry ways into our home. They installed galvanized steel, caulk, and steel mesh in virtually every hole and crack larger than 1'.  Even the gutters were cleaned! They installed a 1 way door into the "front door" where the little varmints' were coming and going through. This allowed them to leave to get water and food, but re-entry was impossible. So far, no return animals. We have seen 3 other neighbors have similar problems and call other companies to perform the same service only to have them come back when new families of animals moved in. After it was determined the flying squirrels had gone, 2-3 weeks later, Animals Be Gone came back and thoroughly inspected the attic and sprayed for level 1 decontamination.  GREAT JOB!!!!
We recommended them to my brother-in-law and hew was extremely impressed and they completely removed and a family of grey squirrels form his attic and walls.
Call these folks-they will do a great job!!

First, some background. When I moved into this house in 2009, I noticed some set mouse traps in the attic. Since they had been up there before I bought the house, and hadn't caught any mice, I sprung them and brought them down. About a year or so later, I had a mouse die and stink inside a wall. I cut a hole in the wall and removed the dead mouse, and five or six old mouse skeletons that were in there with it. I went up into the attic and found a hole in the header that looked like it had been drilled to run a wire, but had not been used. I plugged this hole up and set some traps back up there. After several weeks of not catching anything, I took them back down. Also, I had frequent scorpions in the house, sometimes several per day, and often these would show up in the light fixtures. They would also turn up in the toilets, presumably by falling from the bathroom vents which are directly over the toilets. In May 2013, I had something else (presumably, a mouse, I never found it) die and stink somewhere in the wall or attic of the master bathroom. However, I did find mouse droppings in the attic.
At this point I called Animals-B-Gone, since it was obvious that mice were an ongoing problem in the attic. Mr. Boone came out exactly on time, and inspected my house and found quite a few things that were either absent or not installed correctly, that were supposed to keep critters out. I set up an appointment to get these items fixed. He and his crew arrived right on time in the morning, and got to work, installing flashing around the edge of the roof and caulking gaps and voids. This included around the trim and windows. While installing the flashing, they cleaned and corrected the installation of the gutters. (These had been improperly installed by the builder, so that water had to run uphill to reach the downspouts. This resulted in standing water, which gave mosquitoes a place to breed, and excessive weight during downpours causing the gutters to pull away from the eaves, leaking water over both the front and back edges of the gutters. Besides mosquitoes, the standing water is also attractive to various animals like mice, squirrels and insects.) The Animals-B-Gone crew replaced the nails with screws, and sloped the gutters correctly. They also corrected an area of ground near my foundation that was sloped toward the house, that could cause a buildup of water against the foundation. The gutter above this area was one of the ones that had been overflowing in heavy rain. (They actually mixed up some concrete to make a splash block  to direct the water away from the house.) The gutters now work very well, and we have had some very heavy rain since this work was completed.
The day after this work was completed, I left on vacation for a week. When I returned, I found evidence of mice in the house (droppings, and gnawed items.) Mr. Boone said this might happen as the mice eat up any food they had stored in the attic and get desperate. I set out the traps in the kitchen and the attic. The next day, I saw a small mouse crawling around in my den, which I killed, and the following day, I found a dead mouse by my file cabinet. Since then, I have not seen any more evidence of mice, nor have I trapped any. They appear to be gone. I have also only seen one scorpion, and that was the day I got back from vacation (it was dead in the toilet) and fewer spiders and other critters since Animals-B-Gone sealed up my house.
In summary, they installed flashing and sealed up my house to prevent animals from getting in. They fixed some problems with my gutters and drainage, that had been making my house more attractive to various critters. They also cleaned the gutters, both inside and out (they look nearly new). Although this work was mainly to keep rodents out, I am seeing fewer other pests as well. This company will go the extra mile to keep the critters out of your home. I am very pleased with their work and the results, and can highly recommend them.

We were pleased with their work and they also guarantee their work which can be passed on if I sell the house. My wife and I have never spent that kind of money and been so happy. When they were done our confidence level was so high, they've followed up multiple times via phone, email and home visits to verify their work. The whole project took about 9 days to ensure that they were getting rid of the rodents and they never asked for a dime or deposit until the project was done.

They did a number of things for us and they were great. They have been here several times and have done a fabulous job. We were happy to check them on Angie's List and they very much wanted to make sure that they are doing good work to keep up their reputation on Angie's List. It is hard to compare prices but we just know the amount of time it would take and the amount of work that it would be because we have enough experience with work around our house that we felt like it was a fair price.

I noticed chewing/gnawing noise in the ceiling of our two story den last fall, but the noise went away and I thought I had dodged a bullet. Then this spring the noise was back, and I saw a squirrel going into the gutter and disappearing. I tried to remove the problem squirrel myself with my high-powered and scope equipped pellet rifle, but they are small, fast, and cunning little critters. Plus, if you don't actually see the squirrel in the act, how can you tell which one is the offender?
I contacted Shane at Aminals B Gone, and he did a great job explaining what I needed and what it would cost. I also met with two other providers before making the final selection of Animals B Gone. One was my pest control company, which I have been using for over 15 years, but they were way too expensive. Another 'critter" removal company was just too vague, and they wanted me to pay extra for attic clean-up, which I didn't need as the squirrel never made it out of the small entry space.
The actual installation by Animals B Gone took the better part of a day. They did a good job and then cleaned up all around the house. They returned about a month later and removed the exclusion door. I used a ladder and checked their work (where I could reach it), and there seems to be no spot where they didn't install the thick wire mesh. I don't see how a squirrel can find an entry point now.
I've had no problems with squirrels since, but I also have a two year warranty if they do return.

They were very thorough when they did the job because we haven't had any animals back and we had mice, squirrels and another kind of squirrel and they just kept setting traps and fogging homes, they were just extremely thorough and persistent. I think it's about $1100 at that time but it was a lot of work to patch up all the holes and they showed us how a little animal can get through a dime, space, hole, or whatever, it's smaller than mice and can make themselves get through so they patched up everything and even when we had a leak, they came out and looked and they said it's not a hole but it's were your roofer didn't put in the right cap, the roofer came out and fixed it so they identified another problem for us and how to solve it. They came out because the buyer saw, the inspector again inspected the home for sale, found some rodent dropping and he wanted verification that they were not active and that everything was sealed up and so Animals B Gone came out and verified that everything was filled up and there was no active infestations and are giving us sort of a warranty saying it. They just came out until they fixed those problems, they didn't continue to charge us, that was on one price so it's been done. They're very knowledgeable, very thorough, and very nice people. I'm just saying that we've dealt with, his name is Sean, he's awesome.

Folks, if you have this problem, it does NOT get better on its own.  Even if you don't have pets or children of your own, putting out poison is not the way to go.  Many U.S. states and other whole countries have banned poisons as they kill indiscriminately-- poison finds its way into, for example, nests of endangered owls and eagles; and dogs and cats have died from ingesting it, as rats, squirrels, etc. who eat it don't go somewhere out of the way to die.  Also, if like me you don't like the thought of any animal suffering, you should know poisons don't kill quickly-- some inflict tremendous pain and suffering and can take up to a week to kill.  Poison and sticky traps are extremely inhumane and Animals B Gone don't use either.  I've been working with them for about a year now and, again, they have been on site and working h****** a regular schedule and whenever I call; and the problem has subsided considerably.  As they explained to me in the beginning, subsequent generations of the original rats causing the problem stop seeing my property as an easy target, as the best rodent party-house on the block; and, soon, the new generations don't see my property as a good place for them to be at all.  Still... Animals B Gone offer, for no extra charge, the most generous warranty I've ever heard of.  I am sleeping much better these days-- traps in my basement are remaining unsprung for weeks and months-- a huge change from the beginning when the guys were out here every few days removing, well, sprung traps.
I simply cannot write a more glowing review than this one for Animals B Gone.  If you need this service, don't wait for the problem to get worse; and don't hesitate to call Animals B Gone for the job.  I don't know of anything they, or any of their competitors out there, could do to make this service any better!

We called Animals B Gone, and Sean made an appt. to come and inspect our house.  He was informative, punctual and professional.  He told us that we were dealing with roof rats (UGHH!)  and probable grey squirrels.  He took pictures with his phone and was able to share "evidence" with us of the areas that he inspected.  He was very thorough, bringing ladders around the house and getting to difficult parts of the house.  He sent a detailed report, including the photos to our email address within an hour of finishing the inspection.
Upon agreeing to have the company do the work, Animals B Gone's crew came and worked the entire day placing barriers around the roof of our house ( The construction gap, vents, chimney, and foundation of our house).  The crew arrived, with Sean, and they set right to work.  They were neat, efficient, and professional.
It took 7 hours to complete the work.  They worked non-stop with a crew of 4-5 men.
I would highly recommend this company.  They made us feel very good about a project that is very distasteful. We are very pleased with the way the work was done.
They will meet other price quotes from another company but the other company's warranty as well.
Animals B Gone warranty their work for life and it is transferrable to the next property owner!  This means a lot to us as we now can sleep well at night.
