B & B Auto

B & B Auto was paid for work via insurance before the car was in the shop to be fixed.  This shop destroyed the car.  It took months to get the car back and when we did, it was still broken.  The engine was missing and cutting out.  We talked the owner of B&B and they took the car back and worked on it some more.  More time passed.  Then we took delivery on the car around 9/9/11.  The engine blew 3 days later.  We had the car towed somewhere else this time.

While this shop had the car for the 5 months they worked on it, we were given delay excuses over and over.  Once, the owner told us he had ordered parts at Mtn View Ford and that the parts were backordered.  He told us this for 2 weeks.  Finally, we went to Marshall Mize Ford to see if we could buy the parts ourselves.  They had the part in stock.  They queried the database and found that these parts were not backordered and there were no pending orders for these parts, effectively catching the B & B shop in a lie.  When we called the shop owner and told him that we had gone ahead and purchased the parts and that Ford could not document any backorder of the parts, the dishonest owner then says that he had actually given the responsibility to someone else in his shop that did not order the part.  Really? We have receipts proving our story.  This shop also kept parts from the car which we had to purchase to replace.

We did take the car to a different shop to have repairs completed.  Turns out, B & B did not use head gaskets which caused engine failure.  We did file a complaint with the BBB.  The shop in response to our complaint offered for us to bring the car back again.  Not an option for us.  

If you want your car fixed correctly in a timely manner, dont take it to B & B.
