Huether's Renovation

Patrick was polite and quick to fix my leaky basement. I paid half up front and he said I didn't have to pay the final payment until satisfied after heavy rain. The same day he finished he called asking for payment because "his guys had to be paid so they could go on vacation". Paid the remainder but hoping the job was complete the right way. Rain still got in the basement where they "repaired", he promised he would fix it. 1 month, 2 months all the way to 7 months go by and NEVER ONE TIME did he call, text, message or show up to follow up. I had to initiate EVERY phone call, message and conversation. He finally showed up after 6 months of asking for him to and after review said he was going out of town and will be there after he returns. Another month goes by and still NO follow up, nothing. He finally calls me after multiple messages and says he just doesn't have the funds, he is waiting on a big check and will get to it then and I ask him to at least communicate with me after a week so I know an update. This now totals 7 months and seems to take multiple jobs in the process. No communication shows nothing is being done and no effort. He is very unprofessional in communication. He claims he called me but never left a message or text, none of my phone records show missed calls from his number. His words exactly: " I was hoping you would see a missed call and call me back". This is NOT how you run a business. I can probably count over 30 messages, phone calls from me and 2 from him after constant prodding for an update. Replies with "I have to feed my family, I can't afford to fix out of my pocket" , I will get to it. So how long does one wait? A professional would at least have made an effort to show up ONE TIME with a shovel and begin something, this does not cost any money and would show some effort on his part. I run multiple businesses and when there is an issue I always make the effort to follow up, fix, do what I can and with urgency. Instead of him sending one message that says he will fix the issue he became rude and told me to take him to court and hung up on me. He then blocked me from his business page. Not a good way to handle an issue he created, promised to fix and claims I was the only one that had a bad experience. Sad because I had over $20,000 in work I was looking to get done. Avoid this business!
