We bought our John Deere lawn tractor in 2008 and it just stopped working in June 2015 in the middle of cutting the front yard. They picked up the machine and supposedly fixed it but it kept breaking down. We had to put it in their shop 3 times over about 3 months. We kept going back to them because we thought they should have done the job right the first time and we were trying to get our money's worth. I'm elderly and disabled and I admitted to them freely that I did not keep up with the usual maintenance. I told them this so they could check for problems in all the areas that I should have been maintaining, not so they could use my lack of attention as an excuse for not repairing the machine. Here's how it went:
1. Called on 6/11/15 for repair pick-up. We finally got the mower back on 6/26/15 with lots of "tune-up parts" replaced. Costed $270.33.
2. Called on 7/16/15 for second repair pick-up. We got the mower back on 7/21/15 with a new battery and repair to the "upper rocker arm keeper stud" (whatever that is). Costed $70.99.
3. Called 9/10/15 for third repair pick-up. We got the mower back on 10/5/15 with the push rods and rocker arm stud and adjuster replaced. Costed $114.88.
I'm writing this on 10/8/15 after mowing the front yard with no trouble but I'm not confident that everything has been resolved. Not only didn't they get the repairs right on the first go-round, they were very slow to respond to our calls, to pick-up the mower, and to do the repairs. They don't keep in touch with you about the status and, of course, you pay $30 each time they pick the mower up. We would not go back to them and would not recommend them to anyone.

So slow. They picked up my lawn mower the day after I called for a service appt. After a month, I called and was told they were ordering the part tomorrow. Another two weeks passed, I called back and said I would be by the following day to pick it up and take it elsewhere. The next day it was miraculously repaired. Cost of repair with pickup and delivery $385.

I brought my riding mower to them and they repaired it and had it ready
the next day. Most shops keep there customers waiting for weeks. There
comment was if you brought it to us it must be important and we should
get to it as soon as possible. I was very pleased with the speed of
there service and would use this company again.

I called the only 2 places listed in the yellow pages. A competitor said they couldn't get to our lawnmower for 3 weeks, and this company said they would have it fixed within 2 weeks. I have 2 complaints: 1)they had it for over 3 weeks, and didn't call to tell me it was repaired, and 2) they didn't check anything else, e.g. the blade sharpness or the oil.
