To start, the crew was very unprofessional and dirty. They threw construction material all over the lawn as well as cigarette butts and I had to call them back 3 times to get it all cleaned up. Once the work was complete I found out that they did not use the correct Hardy approved caulking and requested that they remove the improper caulk, re-caulk using the correct caulk and re-paint necessary areas. After numerous attempts to get them to correct the work they failed to. I reported them to the BBB and reviewed them both on their Facebook page (which they have deleted) and HomeAdvisor. Fast forward 3 years (yes 3 years, only 3 years and $26,000 later) the Hardy siding is falling off my house, the caulking around every window and every seam (because they lied and did not properly caulk the siding) is fractured and allowing moisture behind the siding, the paint is cracked and stained. Basically I threw $26,000 out the window and they have done NOTHING. I have emailed them since and no response. I understand most warranties expire 1 year after full payment, but seriously... 3 years and my house is FALLING APART! Hardy siding if properly installed is guaranteed for 50 years and the Benjamin Moore paint if properly applied is guaranteed for 30 years!!! But apparently the criminals at Affordable Remodeling aren't responsible for anything!

Craig the foreman from Affordable Remodeling came to our house to inspect and provide a free price quote for replacing water damaged flooring (Guest Bath and small hallway) plus installing a new commode in the guest Bath...upon agreement with price the work commenced a week later..that was fine as we needed to shop for a new commode the weekend approaching....The work began on schedule and was wrapped up within 1 days time!!....Since we had a small budget allowance for this work, we decided to install our own linoleum flooring; completed this past week (03/13-14/2014). That's when we discovered how poorly repaired the floor was...numerous uneven places which took 2 or more layers of floor tile to "even up" with existing floor!!!.....Areas in the small hallway where the new subfloor met the existing floor were the same..an uneven mess!! And that new commode installed in the Guest Bath is NOT level at all..you can clearly see it's leaning to one side :-(

"We quoted repairing the floor properly by replacing the entire subfloor, however customer's budget did not allow for that. We told her we would repair it as best as we could with her budget, which is what we did. When installing the vinyl a floor patch is commonly used to correct any uneven areas on the subfloor which again, we would have done if her budget allowed but she wanted to do it herself."

He started off slow and didn't report when he was schedule. Couldn't get in touch with him and didn't return once he was finish. Part of the front of the house was not wash and was brought to his attention but it was not corrected. If he had come back and completed the job things would be different.
